all kinds of junk!, had to dig out the doorstop since it finally heaved up after 23 years. Have to do the other end after it thaws out. Got another Davis 300 to get ready to do more tile fixin with, got the Michigan over at the neighbors trying to get it started. Found a blade that I can convert to use on my mini.

Got the super A unstuck again,---- this time I get it running it goes down the road! Been selling out little by little. Takes time sorting thru the ads and weeding out the deadbeats and scammers. Probably should have just had an auction!

Took a week off.

Laser cut parts that I ordered weren’t ready yet when I got home, so decided I had better start cleaning the shop. I try to do it every year, but it didn’t get done last year. After trying every cleaning concoction I could think of, I finally found something that worked without excessive amounts of scrubbing.

Most of my parts showed up, and my deadline on this job is getting really tight, so got as much of this staircase together as I could. Sent these to the powder coaters so they could get started. 1 more long stringer, and 1 more short stringer to build yet, but waiting on parts. Hopefully have them at the beginning of the week and be able to avoid having to do any all nighters to get them done on time.

Finally after a cple weeks of trying to get scheduled and weather behave, got the old girl on a trailer and hauled to where I'm logging.  So much warmer in that cab then out slinging a saw in the snow and wind

She was a hair bit wide, hanging off both sides like that. Driver didn't mind, saws he's hauled wider

One day a week paint project continues, slowly.  Body shop tells me 4 hr to paint a truck bumper and I say wow that seems like a lot.  -Then I put ten hours into sanding and painting a few  ford fenders

We probably haven’t had a couple of feet in the last 25 years combined. I’m glad ole cows eat a lot more with snow on causes more work.

Corn planter parts. The 1/2"OD cast piece that holds the silver piece on breaks off. I put 1/2" cold roll on, brazed one and used nickel on the other. I think the brazed one will hold better. But who knows.

Was supposed to to have a training class for work at the Oshkosh dealership this week after driving 1.5 hours to get there this morning they said the guy that was teaching it his plane was delayed so he wouldn’t be flying in till this afternoon. So I came home on a paid day off and started taking the 450 apart to get to the steering Priority valve. The tractor is stored in a shipping container so I’ve been waiting for some decent weather to take it apart.

For some reason those wheels look odd to me...That's a 3000 or 2600 or something, right?

5000.  30’s.  We have five of these, ever one has a different style wheel center an rim.  These have been switched left to right for sprayer spacing, so the dish is offset funny and the two sets of weights are on the inside.  Tricky to spray, but they are loaded, and I wasn’t taking them off.

Picked this up before my accident.  Needs a floor but runs really good.figured it needed it to swap the loader arms on the 500.  After selling the 3514 a few years ago I didn't think I needed another backhoe. But I was sadly mistaken

Ah. Got it. When you started the neighbors project, I thought it was a smaller tractor.

Needed to make a complex shaped part so I did it with a 4th axis, old school way. Bridgeport 15 inch rotary table. Absentmindedly forgot to take a picture of the finished part. It was for a mag drill to replace the un-available cast aluminum piece that broke. Stock is 1-1/2” steel plate.

That’s an interesting looking spindle. Maybe a quick change in a mt40?

I like your approach on the repair, I’m guessing it won’t ever break so we may never know . I lean towards brazeing when you want the strongest.                                             I like your heating rig, I imagine you built the stove? It looks like you bring ceiling heat down with the blower intake?

Spindle taper is NMTB40 as you suspected.  Tool holder is a Gorton collet holder that uses Universal ZZ collets.  Very quick to change tools, faster than ER collets but the holder retainer is very bulky compared to ER and can cause clearance problems.  Also the ZZ collet has one compete slit in it and 3 partials so if a person were to pursue runout to the last 10th these would not be a good choice.  The Gorton holder and a nearly complete set of collets came with the mill.  Collet size can range fron 1/8" or so up to 1" so it is really handy for the widely varying work I do. 

I really need a collet tool holder for my hor bor but those are hard to come by.  It uses a parent quick change taper that is the equivalent of a CAT45 size.  They exist, I know Nikken made them for the ER collets, but I haven't seen one for sale yet.
