Pulling blade angle pins on a 750 Deere. Second pic shows the offending pin on the 1-1/2" threaded rod waiting to be cut off. Getting new bearings in the cylinder ends, pins were TIGHT.

Cleaning the carburetor on the 89 Ovation

Time for a new MFD axle seal.  
 

Vertical beater spreader sent a 4” rock through the back window  just before the tractor was due in the shop for the axle seal. Rock hit the operator in the arm.  Not cool. Should really have a safety screen behind the back of the cab.

All of the vertical beater spreaders I've seen have a wire mesh screen at the front.

That isn’t enough. If a rock gets batted high up on the beater it can clear the spreader screen and arc down into the tractor cab.

It’s a farm tractor.  Should be good on a 5 bottom plow!  Gonna get painted this summer.

I’ve heard the paddle rubbers help a lot but I’ve never tried it.

Re did the interior in one of the 1066’s.

I bought this dynaglo heater because it was only 20 bucks and supposedly worked. It had a mud dauber nest in one tube and the thermocouple wire was broken in one. After that was fixed it works great. Like a portable wood stove to sit in front of. If I had known how much heat they put off, I would have bought one years ago.

Givin' some love to the 1086. The threads pulled out of the steering ram to ball joint most likely over 35 years ago.  Welded it back together to keep going plowing.....it worked 😆 . Ball joint bad now

Back in the day plowing then bouncing thru it come spring sure was hard on steering components.  It's got easy life now pulling sprayer on smooth ground.

 

We'll address the spindle arms welded on later.....lol

What brand is the toolbox on the right?  Zooming in it looks like Matco?

Yes Matco. I bought it used from the snapon man back in the late 80's when I first started at the JD dealership

I thought it was a Mac at first but the print on the handles looked different.  The oldest Matco box I have seen, cool to see something new, hahaha
