Called Bates and exchanged steering pumps.  2 older kids helped take it off and put new one on.  Drove around and appears to be good to go.  Makeshift shop worked ok to.

        Aaron with all the goodies your boss gets in you must be drooling all the time. When I go there I bring my wife along and she brings me back to reality before the check book comes out. Haven't been there for year and a half still expanding?  Hope to get there in June on the way back from the ATHS SHOW in York Pa. By the way I really like 606s have 1 gas ,1 2606 gas , and 1 2606 diesel.Yours looks pretty nice , a runner?

Pulled the springtooth around for a bit this afternoon:

The 41 H does a good job with 9' of harrow on the back. It was a little too wet to be running today but it was almost 60 degrees and I was starting to get cabin fever. When I got back to the shop I discovered the rear main is leaking pretty good now. Won't have time to fix it until late this fall most likely though. Oh well. I think I'll put some Lucas in it when I change the oil, then try to baby it tthrough planting and hay season.

Used the ol F20 to lift up the stock trailer (used 4x4 cribbing to hold it up) so I could swap out a bent axle.

There was an IH forklift on Craigslist north of Alton, Illinois a few months ago. Wasn’t bad looking and it was listed for 7K, but I don’t remember if it was gas or diesel.

Your place looks kinda dry, when you get the trailer fixed just head east on 20 and when you get here I'll fill er up with mud.

Snow mostly melted and it was drying out nice

Until the thunder storm rolled through tonight.

Quite a light show and glad I got the trailer axled swapped before the rain hit

Pretty wet again but it's sand!

Change the oil in Farmall C touch control today . 
Repaired the damage to the filter screen. Ordered some 100 x100 mesh from  McMaster Carr for 9 bucks . Cut it and wrapped damage screen and secure with stainless safety wire.

Worked on the Farmall C governor over the weekend  ,got new springs from Steiner. Painted and installed it yesterday . I’ve had worse but I chose to replace anyway ,didn’t cost that much. 

Brazed up the wear (flats) ,hand dress the radius with dremel and hand fine hand file good as new now , can’t get these . I’ve had a lot worse really

I took the 900 8 row wide to the field to test out the marker/raise lower systems.  All good!  Also graded the driveway with the 1206.  Warm day.  The 60’s in IL on Feb 8 is quite unusual.

Salvage yard was going to scrap the tractor but I got it bought for $600.

Somebody put a lot of work into turning it into a forklift including a Chevy six cyl motor

Changed the engine and air cleaner oil in all four tractors and the 94 Ford F-150 this morning. Left the Cub for last, and decided it needed a hood badge like the other three:

I had the emblem laying around anyway so I figured, what the heck. Not the correct one for a 51 Cub but better than nothing. And, I don't figure me or the chickens really care about "correct " parts.

With some help (and the loan of his truck and trailer) my co worker and I moved the 606 over to his farm.  May tinker with it there in the evenings.   My pickup and trailer are still behind a snowdrift!

Less chance of impossible to find parts disappearing off the 606 at his farm.  We discovered the rear rims have fluid.  That's gotta go!

Aaron, how do you remove fluid? I did several years ago, drained them down as far as I could just using gravity. Then used a shop vac to get the rest. Worked great!

When it warmed up after the big cold snap it was easy to see the fluid level in every tire that has it. Found a pair that I thought were dry but apparently didn't get the shop vac treatment.
