Here's a sticker from my local dealer 'Carco International'. It's in very poor condition. I saw it on a dead 424 at a consignment auction today.

Carco international is still a strong Navistar dealer. CaseIH pulled their dealership and gave it to the Case dealer which promptly went bankrupt... Haven't had a local CaseIH dealer in decades...

Dunbar Ingall closed after the merger. Dan's is now redline equipment.

I'm  guessing you are thinking of the great Floyd Jensen? Seemed like every IH mechanic in South Dakota knew him back in the day. Don't know that I have ever heard anyone say anything bad about him. He retired with CaseIH back in the early/mid 1990s IIRC. Died in the late 1990s. The guy was a legend among IH dealer personnel.

My uncle was a Blockman out of the Broadview IL Sales and Transfer facility, which was admin and whole goods distribution. The building was huge with 20 acres under a roof and included an indoor rail siding. I always thought Blockman was the IH term for district or regional sales representative like my uncle was but service and product support could also be divided in "blocks".

This is a decal from an International Harvester branch house. I really  don't know the workings of that branch house that was in London Ontario, I have heard many oldtimers tell the story of driving their Farmall M home from London,

 Anyways a point of interest for some Southern Ontario guys is Forest City Surplus is in that building now according to two very reliable guys . I am sure theres  several guys on here that have visited that building

when I was a kid in the 60s, Dad was able to buy new New Holland equipment. I clearly remember a brand new NH  770 chopper with a 2 row corn head that was leaving a trail of shelled corn from the gap between the head and the lower feed roll, as the feed roll was grabbing the corn stalks to feed the cutterhead. Local NH dealer called in the blockman, who assured Dad that we were the first ones that had ever had that problem. We called the guy the "blockhead".

One of those yardsticks that rolls up. Probably was made in the late 60’s or early 70’s since I think the Port Jeff location closed down after that.

Anybody else from the “Island “ on here remember when that was?

They closed down Southold in 1979.

I keep forgetting about this page. I don’t have many but do have a couple I just need to remember to take the pictures. Most dealers in our area always peeled the old decals off or put theirs overtop when something was traded in. Not many one owner pieces around here either so not many decals survived.

I would like the National to collect both the dealer information and the dealership stickers.

One of the reasons that IH was so successful way the dealers and having a lot of them.

They were the backbone of the company.

  A lot of equipment goes through the local auction yard here.  I have seen decals for Lamb & Webster from their IH days, Fredonia Farm Supply, and a few other Buffalo, NY area dealers.  I've got a bunch of closer to home dealer decals to post whenever I regain my ability to scan things.  I'll have to remember to take pictures of those closer to you as my cell phone does have a camera.

Lamb and Webster was one I know had a policy of remover or cover up anything from anyone else. From a business standpoint they didnt want to advertise other dealers.

You got all around me, you just did not get JM Wildman in Paso Robles Ca. I have kept my eye out and not found one for them yet. All the Caly dealers you have decals for sold a lot of crawler tractors, but were full on Ag dealers. Just that irrigated farm land out here was deep ripped every few years and crawlers did it. I was told Ortens was one of the biggest IH dealers in the 60's and 70's. In a little old nothing town in the middle of 10 to 20 of the largest farms at one time. JG Boswell, West Lake farms, South Lake farms, Saylor farming, and bunch more from the cotton king of the San Joaquin Valley. A 10,000-acre guy was the little guy among them, with JG Boswell at 135,000 acres.

Well I finally took some pictures. 
First one is the one famous for covering everyone else’s up. Originally IH dealer. I believe this was the sticker they used from the merger until they sold out to another dealer last year. 
Second is a handful of originals a mechanic there gave me in the late 90s. I got them stored away if I ever do a restoration. 
Third is an oddball. I believe they were only around for about 5 years in the late 90s early 2000s. They bought out London truck and tractor in Ohio. Millionaire playing with his money. My brother worked there at the time. He lasted about a year with new owners before he came home to take over dads farm. But got a great deal on this manure spreader before he left. 
Ok 2&3 switched when I put the pictures in.

  Lamb and Webster was a single location IH dealer until they bought Ortner's in North Java during 1983.  I was in college at Alfred, NY and recall the buzz behind that purchase.  KG Richmond in Dansville, NY was an IH dealer near Alfred that closed in 1984.
