I know the feeling. We got 2/3rds of ours baled yesterday before the rain. The rest of the field got 2 inches of rain between last night and today. Won't be fit for much other than mulch and probably not even that. Probably wind up burning it honestly.

We raise around 100 to 150 odd calves....specifically to order....Friesian /  Hereford...and Angus / Friesian...get then at around four /five days old...and rear them to around 100 plus Kilograms....then off they go to new owners...by then the calves are almost tame...thus it suits  the small block holders who don't want   ''wild cattle ''running amok.....

That is the ever reliable MX 100 ....quietly pulling the shelter into place......you can see the hills in the back ground.....that means its going to rain...(...if you can't see them..its raining ..  )

We set up the fences for the '' over width load.''  with permanent wire strainers....and with the ever trusty six inch   Jamestown   made, Crescent spanner...they are a quick fix ..to undo ..then re tension...  Our normal gates around these calf paddocks are 12 foot.....to narrow for the calf shelter

Thanks for posting the peanut production pics.  Used to be alot of peanuts round here but none now.  When I was a kid there was a retired farmer nicknamed 'peanut' because he used to grow alot.

Moved the tractors around in the shed again.  Need to make repairs and winterize the sprayer.  Then a little work on the planter.

Went to the historical park, this afternoon, to bring Gasbuggy & the chopper home. Only lost my hat & a SMV sign once (the holey roads are rather unholy around Holy Hill (!!!!!!!!!)). Thought I was going to lose a tire, but it held out for the last few miles.

Small thresheree video to come, shortly. Saturday I was almost too busy to take video & Sunday was cancelled due to rain. Wanted to use my laptop at the show to show Gehl videos & the HDMI port crapped out. So, editing has become a small pain. And the beat goes on....

Been busy combing soys and planting wheat but we’re finally done with soys and the wheat is slowing coming up in places. We need rain here in Michigan and could use a good two day all day rain not 2 inches in 20 mins. We did find time to go pulling last Saturday and ended up taking the semi and the 1466 and 826. Dad pulled the 826 in 12,500 farm stock and I pulled the 1466 in farm stock. We did okay but they were the only two tractors there in farm stock that you could still hook a plow to them and plow all day long. Later on that night I got talked into unhooking the semi and pulling that. I aired the tires down to 45psi and away I went. I made it 240ft but I woulda done better if I woulda been a gear lower. 5th was a little much for the 350 small cam Cummins. Was able to keep gramps out till 1am and between pulling my semi and the late night I got an ear full the whole ride home but it was worth it!

I took the afternoon off work and hauled beans for dad.  45 year old truck with 40k miles and 46 year old combine with 4700hrs.  Broke a sickle section/guard on a rock and sprung a leak on a 46 year old hyd hose (head lift line off valve block).

67 bu/acre beans on 40 acre plow day field.......not too shabby.

Yeah the semi is white. But it is a International 9370 Eagle so its IH.

This time, it is the end of the hay season for us.  Only going to be in the 50’s this week and chance of rain about every other day.

Loaded about 40 tons of black oak wood with the 656 yesterday.  3 pickup boxes plus 4 dump trailers hauled out.

Been hauling grain to town with the 856 and 1066. The way my crop rotation worked this year necessitated using the wagons more than some years. Took a couple pictures after I got everything full yesterday. Three wagons need to go to town and the truck is full too.

We'll see how much I can get hauled in and still get to work on time. Going to let iti warm up a bit before I head out on the 8!

Tedded a little bit of late hay until a shower popped up. Saturday night was a hay ride I drove for

Learned a couple things yesterday about the 300:

1. Clipping one coil off the governor spring really peps it up. So does turning it up from 1800 to 2000 rpm. 

2. It will, in fact, pull my new to me Howse 10 foot brush hog in 2nd gear through knee high grass on semi level ground.

3. 1st TA is as fast is it'll pull it on the big hills in chest high grass; front gets a touch light too... Best to pull it up and cut on the way down. 

There may or may not be a hole in the seat cushion after that last hill!
