Forgot to take pics but raked hay and baled a med sized rack of small bales with the 560 yesterday. The rest went into big rounds.

I’m done for the year!  started June 10th and baled the 3rd alfalfa/grass today. Dropped the load off at a customer so just have to drag stuff home and clean up. See what repairs can get done this fall yet.

Pulling the nitrogen applicator units off the toolbar and mounting them back onto the planter. Next up: switch the planter back to corn and look it over for any additional repairs.

Are you looking for a second set of units, so that you don’t have to swap them? Would you take them off of the planter after corn was finished, anyway?

Alan, I would love to have a second set of those units, if I could find them.  Lots of labor!

Got the 8 and the 10 out and washed them up. 8 was dirty from the tractor ride Sunday, 10 from spring work. Was going to change the seat on the 8 today but some friends showed up and we got to talking.....

Keep looking at it and think I need to do three things then get the alternator rebiult. It would have been done 2 weeks ago if I had just done it.

They say if you plant in the dust, your bins will bust. If that's the case, then I'll have the best wheat crop in three counties:

It's mighty dry here, but we're hoping Francine will give us some rain today. The brother came down and rode the drill for me this evening while we drilled the food plots. He was sure tickled when we were done!

For that matter, so was I. The 300 was cutting out pretty bad when we first started, and come to find out the points had loosened up. I can't believe it even ran honestly. But a call to the wife and she brought the feeler gauge and stubby screwdriver down and within 5 minutes we were back in business. The drill also gave me some fits with the lift mechanism. Really need to convert it to hydraulic lift someday.

Put the new seat on the 856 today. Have drug my feet pretty hard but Sunday's tractor ride got me off the fence. I have reservations about a cloth seat on an open station tractor. Will have to carry a garbage bag in the toolbox in case it would have to sit out in the rain. If a new lower cushion were available, probably put it back on. It's not in horrible shape other than that. Hard as a brick too!

Hauled the 706LP to the pioneer power show in Albany. It's the ugly middle tractor.

Best looking one there, in my humble estimation. Always preferred 'em in their working clothes!

Unfortunately I'm leaving Thursday night, and won't be back until Sunday,  noonish.  My wife has obligations in Grand Forks so I'll be stuck up there.

There's a sharp looking 856 LP, polished up original that came in now. It's sweet!!!

Played musical 782's today. -1's deck developed a broken limb, gauge wheel. So, -2 got called into service. It has a 44c deck that is practically new. Did a beautiful job! Probably going to have to accessorize this one a bit now. Needs a 'brody' knob for sure. Probably a pair of bar tires and some weights. With luck I'll get bot 50c decks back in working order over the winter. 1650 needs some adjustment of the deck, hopefully get that figured out too.

Do you have an upholstery shop nearby? I haven’t looked into it yet but I have one a few towns away that I’m going to see about having one reupholstered. Hopefully it’s not more than a new seat.

Yesterday i Took the 24t and a hay rack to inlaws and used his 450 to bale up the grass hay on his property.  No pics, camera was in the truck. I was on the rack.

Oh Dt fan you will be happy to know the ol T didn't miss a Knott the last 2 times it was out and maybe only 1 or 2 the time before because I can't tie a new ball on and have it feed thru  very consistently.

Now beginning of each season it seems to miss 5 or 6 before it settles down......
