The background farms are 3/4 mile away. Don't know why but I like bean harvest pics. Quote
Sledgehammer Posted September 24, 2022 Posted September 24, 2022 Getting ready to burn a pile of tree trimmings this morning and this jumped on me. I swept it off thinking it was a stick. Well, it was..... A “walking stick”. I don’t see these too often. He was picked up and placed somewhere safe. 11 1 Quote
DT Fan Posted September 25, 2022 Posted September 25, 2022 Todd, don't think I've ever seen one of those in the 'wild'. Praying mantises started showing up around here a few years back, may have been here all along just hadn't seen them? 1 Quote

Always thought they were cool little creatures. Harmless to man, I think they eat bugs 3 Quote

We were trailriding last fall about this time and we came across thousands upon thousands of walking sticks in a 2 mile stretch of woods. There were a bunch of young trees along the trail and everyone of them was loaded. The were all over us and our horses. It was pretty wild. 2 Quote

I have never seen more than one at a time and they are rare that. 1 Quote

stronger800 Posted October 5, 2022 Posted October 5, 2022 And not so decent here. It’s all below average this year. Hoping to get another few thousand bales in yet. Put a 1066 on a hay tedder to have a cab and heat. Might put 1466’s on hay rakes next 9 Quote
stronger800 Posted October 5, 2022 Posted October 5, 2022 Apologies, I messed that up. I meant to post in the 2022 Crops thread just above this one. 1 Quote
