I pulled the Farmall C the  3500 pound antique class at the Albion Area Fair (Pa.) today. I got a hat for participating. I didn’t finish last ! Enjoyed the barbecue chicken dinner afterwards .

I hooked up the new to me drill to the 1086 and got it ready to go.  I'll plant about 50 acres of cereal rye and 8.5 acres of wheat. Beans should start being combined tomorrow.

Finished with the last of the hay for the year. Should have just left it in the field and not bothered. The elk herd took most of it. But it’s more than I had before.

No pics, but started running beans today.  Started with my worst field I farm.  This field went 41 last year and did 43 this year.

  40 bushels per acre on soybeans would be very respectable on the heavy ground here.

This is the 1086 that I bought from a family friend after it had been sitting in a barn 20 plus years.  We have used it baling this summer.  We replaced the compressor, receiver dryer, expansion valve, and we flushed everything out but the only way it would work was to run power to the compressor clutch.  Today I had a little time and found the relay in the top of the cab had failed.  Slipped a new relay in there and it sure is nice to be able to adjust the temp instead of just running wide open!

Installed the radiator tonight with all new hoses and clamps.   Before we tightened it in place, we Installed the grille and hood to adjust the gaps before we locked everything down.  One more batch of red and then final assembly with new guages and wiring harness.

There was a bushing in both sides of what you are picturing. Then a 5/16 shear pin. I ran a model 56 back in the 70's. The welds holding the bushings broke. I kept running it until a bushing got into both holes. Broke the gears and the gear box big time. Was very lucky to find a parts machine. What you have is a disaster waiting to happen.

That means I need to find him a bushing for the flywheel side. I found a part number for the bushing in the hub but not for the one in the flywheel. We've got til spring to get it fixed. Thanks for the info. Kind of interesting that both sides had a bushing.

Started beans last week and started putting in wheat yesterday. Did get rained off at lunch from planting wheat

Reichow 7120 love those magnum shots and I like seeing everyone’s pics of tractors and I hope this doesn’t offend anyone but ihjdman,s 1086 is about the sharpest of its kind I’ve seen.

Well that went well, until the 46 year old rear brake line gave up the ghost at the pit......hard to dump when she starts rolling away!

Never good to lose brakes but 46 years is a good run I'd say.
