lotsaIHCs Posted January 1 Posted January 1 Wife went to Bismarck to meet 2 of her sisters and our daughter for bait...I mean sushi...this evening. I went to town for a couple of things earlier and treated myself to a double butter burger with bacon and cheese from Culver's. Other than that I have to decide if I want to partake of a Coors Banquet or a Hamms. Or maybe...sip a little of this. I have no desire to be out and about tonight. Besides, it's 3°F above and getting colder! This is the first time I bought the Devil's Cut bourbon. I've had other Jim Beam for years. I probably won't be getting it again, but it was worth a try. It's not really higher alcohol content but is quite a bit more bitter and just seems stronger tasting, not as smooth. Oh well, now I know. Looks like JB is going to be shut down for all of 2026. That's ok. I only buy a bottle about once a year, sometimes every other year. 1 Quote

I scraped grease and cleaned areas to be welded with stanisol or something similar. It paid well for what we were doing. I also toured Garrison Dam powerhouse, hydroelectric, in high school. Good to see there are still some plants powering EVs! There are a lot of coal fired cars out there! Minesota is wanting to get rid of coal fired power, but a lot of their electricity comes from ND, which is a lot of coal fired. 1 Quote

Still have 2 in southern Illinois, one built in the early 70’s and the other built in 2008-11. Prairie State, the last one built, gets coal from a mine right across the road from it. The other one uses western coal, shipped in by rail. They are about 10 miles apart. 3 Quote
