Mowing with the kubota when a loud rattle began. Realized it is my exhaust manifold plate rattling.

I think most guys consider a 300u for the front bolster but the axle is set back and without the frame rails wouldn't match up well with a Super W6 t/a. I still have a Farmall 300 if you keep talking about it I may weaken 😉

Mom and dad had the same humidifier when I was little. Might still be in the semi trailer since we moved out for the flood of 93. Still have a trailer load of junk from back then!! Need to dig a hole and have a bonfire!!

But have you tried grain/corn fed venison. I shoot a very nice buck 30 plus years ago. The cleaned hanging weighed was 30 pounds more than the average live weigh of most deer and very fat. Only several years later did I find someone 1/2 mile away was grain feeding deer,😉 so they would be too full to eat ornamental plants in the yard.😂 The same taste difference of grass fed beef to corn fed beef. The only venison my wife ever thought tasted good. Also do not bring her grass fed beef into my wife's kitchen.

Got the fuel system primed and replaced the thermostat. Started it up no leaks. Drove it to our diesel tank and put fuel in it. Was going to have my youngest run it around the yard for a while but then saw something dripping. Pull it back in the shop. Found coolant leak from around a head bolt. Bolt was broken. So ordered a head gasket and a full set of head bolts. Took it apart today. Thankfully the remaining bolt in the block came out with out a fight. Will start reassembly tomorrow afternoon hopefully.

Just realized I never updated this project. Got the head gasket changed and installed a new set of head bolts. Got it all back together and running. Had my youngest son run it around the yard. Told him you don’t need to run it “wide open”. That didn’t last long…. lol. Was watching him drive it around, he comes around the corner of a building cracks the throttle open and come by me about as fast as it will go and yells to me as he passes “ this one is fast!” I had him park it a while later and looked it over, no coolant leaks. Put the mower deck on it and tried that. Seemed to work good. Few day later dad said he saw oil on top of the deck. Found a hydraulic oil leak at the steering valve. One of the lines had cracked. Replaced the line and it’s all good now.

Today was busy. Got several projects out of the way. Almost time for Christmas tree wholesale cutting to start. Then it on to retail sales after thanksgiving. Will be busy till mid December. 
 

I repaired a drawer for my kitchen this morning. The particle board just couldn’t handle it anymore. Drawer front was still ok. Rebuilt the rest of the drawer out of some good cabinet grade plywood. Then cleaned out a barn full of political promises. After lunch I cleaned up a spot in my pole shed for some lumber that we cut from trees I took out of my yard last spring. Needed the trailer the wood was on for the tree farm so it had to get emptied.

I am working on putting this project out of mind but theres a Super W4 tub laying out there from a partout last week......add a F300, Super W4 trumpet housings,hubs & axles, trans cover,drawbar and steering box and I would be 85% on my way to a SW4 T/A. .....maybe😁

mine are DEhumidifiers so just coils/compressors i dont use a humidifier here in the winter it stays pretty moist round here most of the time

I believe the crank seal went on my leaf collector tecumseh. It’s older but I doubt it has 100 hours on it. Seal is only 5$. But it is going to take some time

I spent all Saturday and Sunday on the barn roof replacing screws and sealing them up to stop leaks. My legs and back still hurt! I got about three quarters done. It's amazing how many screws there are on a roof.

Last time I helped with a tin roof, we were still using lead-heads, IMO,  much better sealing than rubber seals.

These screws were 20 years old and I was surprised how much tightening each one needed. I set my drill driver to reduce setting and went over each one. If they didn't set up firmly or the rubber washer oozed out too much I replaced them. Then I went over each one with a silicone sealer that they use on Warehouse roofs. It's supposed to be good for 20 years, but only time will tell. We had a big rain last night and this morning when I checked none of the buckets had water in them, so that is an improvement.

Waiting for the fields to dry up. Replaced the original pickup cam follower bearings on this baler. 31,700 bales on them. Bearings themselves were fine yet but the OD of the roller was about .090” off of new.
