What did you do with your Red tractor today?

Had the T340A out disking with a #35 ihc wheel disk its model  before 37 disks came out 12' 3 gear ta high side disked for 3 hours with it, i know its not red but it has been California ag tractor since i bought when it came to Iowa in 2008.

Graded out an old fence row ridge with box blade today.  It has been a pain for years and mom was getting frustrated mowing against it.

Little 4' box behind the Cub Cadet is a surprisingly capable implement.

Put out dry fertilizer today with the 300. 

Not a very good picture but best I could do at the moment. Afterwards, I disked the stuff in; the ground was a little damp and sure made the old gal grunt, but she pulled it anyway. Then harrowed with the spike tooth, it ought to be ready to plant as soon as I get home tomorrow. 

Finished the afternoon by mowing the yard and getting the old 186 planter ready for tomorrow afternoon. Had to replace a couple grease fittings and tighten the chains, but for better or worse it's ready to go.

Spent some time with the 400 again today. Fixed the flat front tire. Added three sets of wheel weights and the frame weights. Have enough all-thread for two more sets! Even took her for a GPS run, about 19 MPH on the flat. I wanted to do some discing with her today but still a bit wet.

Loaded up the last 2 bales at moms and took them home this morning. This afternoon brought the 400 home and into the shed.

The boys and I did some landscaping in the packed heavy clay behind the barn restoration project. Cam pulled the antique steel wheeled #9 power lift cultivator with the 300 and i did the grading with the Farmall A and home made hand lift dozer blade. We also used the 504 utility and loader to move a pile of dirt.

Pulled up a beds with the 886.

I need to fix a few cosmetic issues with the 886. It's a really good tight tractor.

I was able to cultipack the field with the Farmall 404, then seed oats, brome, and grass seed with the 424D and IH #10 grain drill. 

Then I went back over the planting with the cultipacker.

Nothing fancy but it seemed to work for my first time. I guess I'll find out in about two weeks.

Sure would be nice to have a set of front weights on my 400. She is really light in the nose with the disk behind her!  We have a traffic radar at the edge of town, I was speeding at 18 mph on my old girl!  😂

Been under the weather since last Friday. Went to Missoula for a checkup and came home with a virus. First time out of the house today.

Got the white Cub and the mower Cub out of the shed. Mowed the yard for the first time, wait any longer and I could have just baled it.

Worked up the garden spot with the H and the old horse drawn field cultivator.  That thing has one job a year. Gets a little grease and gets put right back under the trees at the end of the field.

Maybe I’ll get some onion sets in the ground tomorrow.

Took off early and got the corn in this afternoon. Pic from last spring but you get the idea. 

Neighbor stopped by while I was finishing the end rows and asked if I'd be interested in planting some deer plots for him. Told him I would, figure I could use a little extra jingle in my pocket. 

Afterwards, put the new tires on Ghengis Cub. Think they look pretty good.

Then took the fronts off the 300 so the tire shop can mount the new ones tomorrow. Shot the pedestal with a rattle can of 2150 while I had them off. Didn't turn out too bad for a five minute job.

Finished up the evening going over the rotary hoe. Supposed to rain Thursday so wanted it ready to kill a few weeds after they germinate. Need to find some atirazine and give the corn a little shot this weekend, but I don't know if I can find enough by then. Not exactly common in cattle country. Think it's time for a shower and some supper, then bed. Been a long day!

Disced 22 acres of burned down alfalfa for my buddy that had borrowed the tractor. Got to drive my tractor and burn someone else's fuel!

I took the snowplow off my 1256 and spent awhile putting dirt that was to wet to move back in the hole that was created repairing a water line this winter. Not finished yet thing are still wet in the centre of the pile.

Typically don’t do much tillage, just strip till and no till. But today I was able to do some tillage. A little custom work and a farm that was tiled so working to level off tile ditches.

These free loaders are just waiting to eat the corn this fall.

Pulled the loader off the 786. Put it on in 85 or was it 86 ? With a telahandler and a loader-backhoe, a 3rd loader was not need. It was just bouncing around enjoying a ride. The tractor looks naked now. Servicing was easer too.
