My daughter, her husband and granddaughter were here over the weekend so spent most of the day in Missoula before they flew out last night. Went to Josie’s first movie. They have been all over. Hiking, bison range and checking things out. That kid is a hoot! Saw some moose at the irrigation lake. Some loggers started a fire up on a hill not too far away. Forest Service got it under control quickly today. Had a helicopter draw water out of the river and help the fire crew. 18 Quote

Can't imagine how many bales that thing has done over the years. Only does a few hundred a year now. Slow by today's standards but still makes a good bale. 1 Quote

I got it a few years back, been sitting for a number of years. Traded the guy some hay for it. Yes it’s slow but it makes a really nice bale. I have a 320 also so I don’t have to drag one baler back and forth. Each one can stay in an area. 2 Quote

I did some poking around and figured that this 504 is from 1963. My 504 is a row crop version. The screen shot that you have is from the utility version. I had asked google and it said that the S is for equipped with a factory TA, which it has, and the Y is for factory live hydraulics. Is this correct? 2 Quote

stronger800 Posted July 12 Posted July 12 The days are short here. On all but the absolute hottest days, the air usually goes damp before 6pm, or as soon as the sun starts to fade at all. Then moisture content jumps, and you need to stop. There is no such thing as night baling in NY. And sometimes there is still dew on the ground at 11 a.m. 2 1 Quote

And sometimes there is still dew on the ground at 11 a.m. In northeast Ohio I never figured to bale till 1 pm. with the temperature at 62 f and 95 percent humidity as example. grease and oil, baler and tractor maintenance was only things to do. 2 Quote
