Mr. Plow Posted February 7 Posted February 7 Knocked loose rust off of my Little Wonder yard art plow while the weather was nicer and I could work outside the shop (less clean up). Detail sander with 50 grit and needle scaler got it done good enough to be able to brush on some primer soon. 8 Quote
MacAR Posted February 8 Posted February 8 Finally got the 300 running today. Plugs didn't help, carb rebuild didn't help, new points and condenser didn't help. Poured a bit of has in #1 and got it to pop, tried it again and it fired and ran. Tuned on it a bit and it seems to run good now, but has a lope at idle. Thinking now I may have some bad fuel, so will get some fresh and see what happens. I did use it to pull up some old corner posts today, and it ran well while I had it out. I think a good hard day's work would help it more than anything. Edit to add: connecting the crankcase breather to the air cleaner was a great idea. No more blow-by in my face when working! 4 Quote

MacAR Posted February 13 Posted February 13 Worked the snot out of the 450 and 300 today. Plowing old sod - That stuff was awful hard, could only run in 2nd gear. Took a while but got it done. Happiness is shiny moldboards... The 311 did a great job turning what I needed today. Pulled the disk with the 300, and it did NOT like it! Neither did my back after an hour. 14 Quote

I ended up breaking the old bolt on the high side gear, I will have to fix it tommorrow and use it some more! 7 Quote

It only took a greasing and oiling the chains for it to work flawlessly. (Other than the broken bolt) I hope to get many loads hauled with it! 2 Quote

billonthefarm Posted February 17 Posted February 17 Several years ago I cut the axles off on this tractor so I could haul it in an enclosed trailer. Started the project of installing uncut axles today. Found a bad inner axle bearing. 8 Quote
