Here's a couple I took today while bushhogging. Some ryegrass in the foreground with canola behind it. The blue flower in the ryegrass is bachelor's button, a weed.

..nothing remarkable about this picture...except that the   gold dredge is still working...This in Central Otago, at a gold mining site that started life back in the late 1800;s

It is in the news again, because  the company  wishes to expand the claim (s),,,but of course faces huge opposition   from all the wankers   that don't want the 'planet ruined'  ...little realising the  barriers  that have to be  negotiated to even get consent to plan an operation like this....

...and meanwhile the country is broke.....

We have bachelor button in a flowerbed.  It's only a weed if you don't want it where it's at.  😉

I didn't realize they grew canola in TN.  I always considered that more of a cool season crop.
