I have noticed that I need to delete some pictures. I thought I would try to get some of the things that I have made / modified / etc on one thread. First two pictures are a tree stand I made as I hate the flimsy ones available. The seat is a tire tread bolted to it like a hammock. It's fairly comfortable given the fact that squirrels and other wildlife leave it aloneIMG_20190401_185852337_HDR.thumb.jpg.6172121eec45ed21e1e53d52f3f4befa.jpgIMG_20190401_185835168_HDR.thumb.jpg.08a1075134efeb84fa1a3adde1ab227c.jpg

then it's a subframe I made to hook on the front 22 weight bracket on a boxcar Magnum to plow snow. The back end hooks to the front of the drawbar. This allows for the drawbar to be used to pull something at the same time if needed .

I like the tire idea. If your squirrels are mean enough to eat that then you better stay home anyway ?

I plan to make a few more ladder stands with two wide seats one each side of the platform with some fake Christmas trees to provide cover without needing trimming yearly. It would be nice to sit facing past each other with the kids to look opposite directions.

I have welded a serial number on most things I have made in the last 15 years along with the date . This helps with figuring out how long things are lasting.

An undercarriage we are rebuilding . Was from the neighbors Houle 6000 gallon tank they replaced..I bought it for scrap price. We had it under a different spreader for the last 8 years. Now to get it to fit under the Calumet spreader we bought new in 97 and re-tanked  3 years ago. It's now 4600 and started as a 3750 .

This feed bucket I made after being frustrated with the aftermarket ones not lasting very well. The whole thing is 1/4" AR400 plate. The spill gaurd is only 11 gauge with 1/4" wall tubing. This is 9 years old and I had to redo part of the floor earlier this year. Had probably 5 cutting edges welded on it. The last cutting edge was 23 months and 21 days when I replaced it

The seats from a transit bus, all fiber glass with removable pads. Could  make a good tree stand.  They come in comfy 4 seat sections and 1 seat sections.

Snow melt yet?

Jeff is across the lake from me. We haven’t had snow in 2-3 weeks now. Forecast is in the 60’s For Friday of this week. Bring it! I’m so ready for spring!
