the news did a feature on the show. The one shot shows me, my boys, my dad and some cousins, and my son gets some time actually talking to the camera!!

Well that means the 1206 won. I heard 268 I believe. Although percentage wise I feel that’s a disappointment. But an amazing display of tractors, original, restored, modified, and more!

Production numbers may have been a factor in that.....

They did fall short of their 350 goal, which I doubted from the start. After seeing the great lengths many people went to, to get the 210 D21's there, and just how many tractors 210 of them is, I figured there's more 1206's, and more IH collectors willing to get them there than AC guys. It's just simple math. Quite an effort by all involved to get that many tractors in one spot! I'm sure the dEErE guys will be next, and of course they will have more yet, because of numbers. Great show that has something for everyone! Glad it's only every other year though lmao!

Percentage wise the D-21 won that battle. I’m guessing when it’s JD turn it would be the 6030.

There were several guys riding 4 wheelers around.  Same tag on them as the side by sides, indicating thst they had been registered at the gate.

They might have a easy way to beat the 1206 numbers if there is a junkyard nearby Rantoul they can just haul load after load of JD to the show 😁

They had to make the 6030 531 while the 619 and 404 were in production. I don’t know exactly when 466 started but they were in 8430s so had to be a bit of overlap there. Didn’t 6030s go to 1977 or 78. 
As for 5010, 5020 parts versus 6030 parts. The 5020 would probably share halve its parts with 6030 while 5010 shares only about half with a 5020. I believe all the replacement transmission parts and such you bought  years ago for a 5020 were superseded to 6030 stuff. 5010s had different gears in transmission , different hydraulic parts in system and other stuff.

This sounds odd but all the 10 series tractors 3010,4010,5010 were really refined when the 3020,4020,5020 series took over. Even though the 5010 was introduced after the smaller 20 series. 
Nothing really interchanges on a 10 series to a 20 series, maybe 25 percent of parts. But hydraulics priority valve, steering stuff, engine parts, transmission gears injection pump and injectors nothing really swaps around. Maybe injectors on the first year 4020.

the 531 parts will go into a 619. Crankshaft and early connecting rods will inter change. Some of the late 6030s had the crank driven oil pump gear on crankshaft already but not used. This came from guys at wrecking yard we used to get stuff from.

Maybe bearings are heavier but I always thought a 5020 was the same. It is possible he bought a 5010? I know pto discs are same on 5020 and 8630 so pto on 6030 should be the same. 6030s have the newer scv hydraulics I don’t think 5020s had so some stuff is different between them. I do know 5010 to 5020 looks the same but not.

Yes...you can order online at 1831 Press   The ad for it is in the new RED POWER Magazine...  Its almost 300 pages of IH 06 series (606-706-806-1206) prototype tractors.
