Strain it through the trees. Play bumper cars through the yard because you just leave everything where it ended up when you got back from the field. Gotta remove a panel to access something? Don't bother putting it back. Chuck it on the scrap pile! It's worth 6 cents a pound! If someone reads this and this is your tractor, this is nothing personal. stronger800 Posted August 30 Author Posted August 30 Actually, most of the older tractors that are still working here in New York are usually fairly nice, because anybody that is still trying to make money with them has probably been successfully doing so for a long time and takes a little pride in their equipment. That’s why I do need to look (online) at any that pops up for sale just in case it’s a good one. Most of the ones such as this example above were parked years ago, and have not been on much of a “farm” in a long time. 2 Quote

I once bought a M715 truck with a plastic fuel tank setting on the winch out front. It was held to the grill with a piece of twisted wire. It had an electric fuel pump on it because the mechanical one mounted to the engine had failed. 😅 1 1 Quote
Jacka Posted August 30 Posted August 30 Pretty common looking tractor other than that fuel tank.Just old never got a bath.Badges fell off over the years.I bought plenty of stuff and the sheet metal is gone.I could never figure why not put it back on.I have the battery covers off my 66 series because I have group 31s in.I however if I take something off for some reason its stored away.I have taken ether injectors off because I don't use them and really rather not have the rusty can or dirt open to the air intake.I just install a plug fitting in the manifold.The tractors bought or saved from the parts man are the only ones that don't have all their sheet metal here on or stored on the farm.My 1026 sheet metal is very hard to come by.My last purchase was a BS Hydro 100 ,guy had it forever and sheet metal was missing all over. He had no clue where it was or went and really wasn't to interested in finding for me or allowing me to look for it.Really nice guy but just didn't care. 1 Quote

I looked right at that filter,tried to make it a turbo in my mind, then decided it was more likely an add on water conditioner/filter, but it looks to big for that (wrong filter maybe?). Where does a turbo kit return oil on a German? Quote
