MacAR Posted June 21 Posted June 21 Worked my summer fallow with the 300 and 3pt field cultivator. I'm trying to work it at least once a month to keep the weeds down. Last time I used the 450 and 12' Vibra-shank, used the smaller cultivator this time so I could also do my watermelon rows. Afterwards tore the carb down, turned two new throttle bushings, and cleaned and kitted it. Seems to run much better now, and the rich idle surge/ black smoke is gone. 4 Quote

It was kinda thin for a new seeding and the 404 exceeded expectations on the haybine. At least had it all on wagons before the rain shower came through. 13 Quote

MT Matt Posted June 22 Posted June 22 Sorry about your luck Acem, I’m glad I don’t have humidity out here and have to deal with pop-up showers. Spent Father’s Day in the seat of equipment. Started the morning knocking down alfalfa mix for a customer with the NH 472. It was only 7 acres but ridiculously thick! Baled some at another field. Plenty of alfalfa mix to pick up here also, 631 bales. Been stacking in the shed, can put around 1200 in there. All the stacks were standing nicely until #13 last night, my lucky number…. I didn’t get it on the bale wagon very square and it didn’t stand as I tried to pull out from under it. Thankfully it tipped towards the wall so I won’t have to move all the bales for the next load. Oh well, at least it is under cover. 14 Quote

Drysleeves Posted June 24 Posted June 24 Those filters were common in the late 60’s and early 70’s. They made so many that it could’ve been in someone’s N.O.S. archives somewhere for decades and recently installed. The hydraulic filter is from the post Tenneco spin off era. 2 Quote

IH Forever Posted June 27 Posted June 27 Raked my little patch of 2nd cutting alfalfa. Decided to use my Dad’s 200. It worked great…but I forgot how slow the road speed is. Took longer than expected just getting there and back. Below are pictures of fenders from my Dad’s 200 and 230. I had a set hanging in the shed for years so he used them. Can anyone tell me which models these came from? Not sure when they came out with the cut out vs. no cut out. 8 Quote

stronger800 Posted June 28 Posted June 28 Hmmmm, good question. Haven’t touched it since that night, did I have it in backwards in that pic? Just found this pic of it in the UPS truck, looks like on the other end it has the one big hole, and two smaller ones. I’m not familiar with these smaller one piece draw bars. I have a ‘75 1466 and a ‘76 1066 that have the one piece 3.5” bars, but our other ones all have the two piece. The one on this 806….was the frugal method Quote
