This one is in rough shape today, having leg function issues and won’t eat. She’s going to the vet this afternoon, hoping for the best, she’s 11.

Hope the vet vet can find something to help her be more comfortable and get some appetite back.

I have 1, that’s my mom’s, my brother has a black/tan and white and I sometimes have another lab here for a couple weeks at a time. They’re often all together for events, nobody leaves their dog home and mine goes to my parents every day while I go to work.

Helping to fill the stockings!  He is the one with the leaky heart valve and congenital heart failure, so I'm just glad to have him for another christmas.  He has the sweetest demeanor and the happiest little tail in you ever saw. You come in the door and when he sees you that little tail starts flapping around at a fast beat. I will just be thankful to have this Christmas with him.

Emma has at least 25 toys in the house scattered around in just about every room but regardless, its Christmas, she got another hippo today.

Dolly got a Kong pig for Christmas. Opened it at Christmas 7:30 and by 8:30 had the stuffing coming out. Kong is not making things like they used to.

Get home last night from In-laws party.  Little late 10:30ish I think.  We park in garage and all 5 of us start walking to the house.  Romeo starts baking across the yard (100' apx) from in front of the milk house b/c there should not be people in the yard 'so' late at night according to his life.  Girls call him and he figures out its us so starts trotting over lawn.  My middle girl, as a gag gift, got a 2' tall rubber chicken complete with the squawk thing when you squeeze it under her arm.  He is maybe 20' from her and she pulls it from under her arm to pet him and it lets out that annoying squawk!  Romeo stops dead, flips 180 and is howling like he has been shot in the butt towards barn!  He goes into equipment room crying his head off.  So now Charlie comes out of his nook in barn too barking head off and running.  So he stops to see what is going on with the pup.  He barks, figures its us and comes over all jumpy since Rom is still crying.  Girls had to go and calm him down and walk with him to house for treats before bed and show him the chicken before he calmed down.  It was one of the funniest things I have seen in a while.  he was tail on the ground running crying over a squawking chicken!  lol

 

This morning he was on porch so I stepped out door after presents and just held it up.... he slowly just walked off porch and away 🤣

not my dog but I found my old baler for sale on Facebook Marketplace and the guys dog is posing in the pic. every dog I have had seems to get in a picture when I raise the camera

These holidays are exhausting.

Someone got snapped at and then the stove was puffing and she got all nervous and needed reassurance. We’re watching Harry Potter and she seems to be coming around. I have never had a nervous dog before, she gets herself all worked up sometimes to the point of getting sick, especially if there is any change from routine.
