3 point skid steer attachment

Good evening, another question, was thinking about how to make a 3 point skid steer set up so I could just back right into the skid steer buckets or bale fork, pallet forks, looking for some idea, would be handy for collecting round bales into an area for loading, I wonder if there are old skid steer hook ups around? I am capable of welding the parts on to make it a 3 point, thanks

The parts are readily available, geometry of hooking up might prove challenging as rolling out to grab the attachment would be impractical.

What he said. You roll out or tilt out to hook a bucket on a skidsteer then roll back to latch it, instinctively without thinking. Your three pt arms can’t do that  ,

I welded one of these I bought off of Clist to a flat skid steer plate. It's not very useful as is, because not every implement I have is the right spacing to fit it. I've been thinking that using a solid rod with "dog bone" plates could overcome that, but haven't got around to trying it yet.

Putting skid loader attachments on a 3 point is going 8 steps backwards.

Just use the skid loader......

I can’t speak for him, but there’s a lot of my property I can’t get on with the SS much of the year because it’s muddy, the tractor I manage to.

Did plan on using a hydraulic cylinder, was thinking more for picking up bales in fields farther away, our skid steer is only a 130 bobcat single speed,

Many of my friends and neighbors have smaller tractors that use the skid steer attachment on their front end loader for bucket, spear, forks, etc.

I can use the SS attachments on the Kubota, I don’t go the other way mostly because the SS attachments are much more heavy built, but for large lightweight loads the SS bucket on the Kubota is the shiz.

You must have way different dirt because here a tracked skid steer will go anywhere but a bog. A wheel tractor will sink in anything that looks even moist.

My original statement was aimed at the fact that any skid attachment now becomes virtually useless on a 3 point. 

Let's use a bucket as an example,  no down pressure so you can't cut into anything hard,  and no ability to scoop/ dump.

Grapples, you can't lift a 3 point more than 24"off the ground so what is a guy going to do,  push sticks around? 

Forks, again can't lift high enough to do anything other that move a pallet from A to B.

Bale spear, they sell 3 point spears all day so why modify a skid steer one just to move bales?

Imho BobTach is waybover used.  It was designed 60 years ago and perfect for 45hp gas Bobcats.  Now we got em on 120hp mfd tractors.  We know many whom have lost loads since Tach let bucket loose etc since was tweeked a little from simply too much hp pushing around it.  

I see your thought on 3pt hook up.  But i think with the availability of 3pt bales spears and pallet forks it would be wiser to just buy those at a auction and go.  Your not stacking in a warehouse you just want to move things.

Dont you have a loader tractor too?

Cool for you, but I don’t have a CTL, and I don’t have the budget to replace the SS with one either, I have clay soil, it doesn’t drain and it turns to slime the instant you break the sod. While USS attachments on a 3 point seem awkward for some applications I completely get trying to use what he already has.

Skid steers don't work in the mud at my place. Not enough ground clearance.

I still don't understand what you’re doing in the mud with a tractor and you need a bobcat attachment on the tractor? 

Like what is the task at hand?
