IHhogfarmer Posted March 13 Posted March 13 I got this Farmall Super C and it has, as you can see, dirty sticky stuff on it. Anyone have any ideas how to clean this up? Could I use Dawn Dish Soap? Not sure what that would do to it. Quote

stronger800 Posted March 14 Posted March 14 No way….that one appears to have a very realistic amount of Grease on the spindles. Half of the pictures shared here are kept so clean, it’s hard to tell they’ve been greased, but you know they have been. The other half…shoe no signs of grease…because they're never had any! Quote
twostepn2001 Posted March 14 Posted March 14 Definitely not the easiest way but the best way to clean it is get a supply of Q-tips and a can of Sprayaway glass cleaner. Just my personal opinion but l would NOT use soap and water, you risk damaging the decals. Just spray some of the glass cleaner in a small cup or bowl and dip the Q-tip in it and clean. Then use a dry Q-tip to wipe it off. l've collected farm toys and trucks since the late 70's and have tried just about every way to clean them. Even tried the dishwasher a couple of times but unless you want to completely strip the paint off l would advise against that.....lol 1 Quote

It looks to have dust or residue in places like fuel spillage, greased front end parts, and some paint fade on the front over the radiator from sun, and heat. Same here. That looks on purpose. The sprayaway is good idea. I swear though on anything but glass i feel a faint sticky residue on stuff cleaned with that Quote
560Dennis Posted March 17 Posted March 17 I would like to suggest ,something like Maguiars crystal (auto) wash . Ultra sonic cleaner might take decals off it. no degreaser on aluminum like purples power ,will dull paint . 2 Quote
