I graded 3 different lanes and one road this afternoon with the 686 and the 8' grader scraper. We had a shy inch of rain last night and it softened the road just enough to work down potholes.

Spotted this groundhog yesterday afternoon on the run. He went in the hole and got curious. I grabbed a rifle and he stuck his head only out the hole. 57 yds with .22 hornet

Uncles last was an R62 but it had a Cummins I believe. The Deutz powered machines were VERY noticeable from a distance 😊

Thanks for letting us know @MT Matt A curse to lose them so quickly but a blessing that they were believers and can be together again. Continued prayers for "Kid Colonel" (as Anson would call him) and his family in their loss.

My Grandpa on his first tractor "a well used JD that was workout before I got it". He bought it when he returned home from WW2. He said "I only had it a couple years and that was enough to turn me red". The truck is a Chevrolet and the harvester is a an AC 60 or 66 I believe.

So if there is less mail volume overall then the postal system should, in theory become quicker. That's not been the case.... These hubs may be understaffed (very possible) but we are understaffed at work and still get the job done. I honestly believe that the USPS system could work correctly with proper structure and leadership. They should be self sufficient for a good start. Lower prices and people might use them over their competition.

I won't get started on the mail system. It's completely broken and there is zero accountability for their sloth. The workers in most smaller Places are good people who live in that community. I know them here and if they get a package it gets delivered ASAP. The problem is the hub system. As for immigrants.....Garfield used to mail Odie to Abu-Dahbi and he didn't make it either.

I'm not a mechanic but have you made sure a fuel line is not getting warm being close to something else and vaporizing the fuel somehow. I saw that happen a long time ago on a machine that caused similar dying. Just a thought.

Some of ours are ready and some are not. They used to get ready about the same time but the last few years the trees have staggered somewhat getting ripe. We like to gather them and grind the pulp for use in cookies and deserts.

Sawdust added to a boiler fire will cause that. I don't think plain coal will spark nearly that much. The sawdust trick is done at steam shows after dark. Makes for a cool sight as long as you aren't around a droughty, fire prone area.

Suspenders 😁 You can get more capacity for the same size most likely. Example, an Sig P365X Macro can hold 17rd in a flush mag and be slightly larger physical size than the Ruger or similar (I beleive).

There are two "lightning" trucks in our county. Neither one is a work vehicle and both piloted by people who you would expect to have them. One cybertruck in the next county over that is owned by an Indian fellow who owns a series of liquor stores. There are a few teslas but I know of at least one family who had two and got rid of one in favor of a Suburban..... Talk about a 180° turn.... We have some electric 3 wheel carts at work. They have a place hauling items and tools for sure but you wouldn't be able to use one off of concrete very far.
