Cool. Found this a couple years ago at a tractor show.

I guess we shall see. Weather predictors are about like those "magic 8 balls" they had when I was in grade school. 😂

I haven't hooked mine up. Won't be quite cold enough for snow to stay around for us here just yet.

They are all forced to be very clean now. You are correct, pulverized into a fine powder, and blown into the boiler with air. Some plants have been running for 40-50 years that way.

Probably close. Not exactly sure what a train car holds. I've been told a 100 car train will run the plant about a day. We get trains and trucks. The D11's on the pile will push 4 semi loads of coal in one blade full.

It's a great reference. Mine came to me second hand.

Burning about 360,000lbs per hour right now.....on one unit........set at low load. There are 5 units running currently. I don't burn it at home other than what I have for the coal forge. I took a trailer to Louisville KY and bought it special. Only a couple veins of good forge coal in the US. Any coal will burn but this has the most BTUs making things like forge welding easier. Mine came from the "Cumberland Elkhorn Coal Company". When I picked it up they were distributing to several large boilers in the Louisville area. Most were backup to electric I believe.

Osage orange tree or "Hedge" tree. We call them "hedge apples". I think they were started as a natural livestock barrier and planted in rows after the dust bowl to help with soil erosion due to wind also. The wood is stringy and harder than woodpecker lips. Burns extremely hot. Will spark cutting with a chainsaw and can melt a wood stove. If you can find a straight piece, they make natures best fence post. A hedge post will likely wear out multiple post holes.

Fine deer for a young man!

A neighbor about 1.5 miles away sent me these pics of my deer. This was two days before I got him. He had been living over there and came here for the ladies I'd say....

This deer showed up today. We had never seen him before on camera or in person. 104yds with a muzzleloader.

Firearm opener is today for us. It's been pouring rain so to the ground blind I went. Not ideal but it is dry. Saw several early despite the rain. Everything was 140+yds away and the only buck I saw couldn't be positively ID'd in the time I had to look him over walking away at 160+ yds. Maybe he will come back later. Until then, I just get to enjoy Gods scenery.

Looks nice Aaron. That would have been on the larger end of the 37's size wise? Very nice shape. I have a 15' 370 that does a nice job for what I need.

The ones I use are Pentax and pretty nice glass. With that said, I will own a pair of Swarovski someday. I don't want range features but they are far and away more clear than anything else of any price I've ever looked through. For a little more value, Vortex makes pretty nice glass for the $$

Saw a nice deer tonight. It never presented a shot (archery) and passed about 30yds north of me. We are trying to manage this property (our own private ground) and I really want to let him go another year.
