I'm not on Farcebook. I don't spend the time here I used to buy thats just because I'm busier with work and life at the moment. I still check in every day and try to keep up with happenings. I have met many people here over the years and am proud to call a lot of them friends.

Yes, "Plow Chief" were one piece moldboard/shin. "Super Chief" came later and were two piece moldboard/shin. I haven't switched one but I think they mount differently also. This came to me from an old time IH parts man and was for the Super Chief parts when I was going through a 311 plow.

That's funny. Nice work.

Looks like rear set is a shrunken copy of the front set. AI at its finest but still a cool idea.

That would indeed be rare. I can't say I've ever seen a factory cab on a 544 but knew they were an option based on parts books.

Probably a Metric VIN number then 😉

Got one coat of Semi-Gloss Urethane on after work today. So far so good.... Maybe I can get a coat on the other side tomorrow. Probably shoot for 3 coats and lightly sand between 2 and 3. This was brushed on to try and save the wood grain in the fiberglass.

Nice pics Jeff. Please share more as you get a chance.

I have seen where someone off acting showed up. They were normally welcomed at the door with a smile and asked if they needed anything. The member of the safety team would help them find a seat and sit with them if they didn't know anyone (still friendly and welcoming) Once you judge a person's intentions then you leave or stay with that person for the duration lightening the mood or whatever needs to be done to make sure nothing escalates.

Those are very cool cars no matter where you find them. He probably won't have any trouble making big $$ selling it. I would be curious to see the "barn" though.....

Yes, several members are armed and someone is in charge of being up and about every week. Churches are an easy target sadly. If you are a bad person and want to maximize damage in numbers no matter what the crazy reason is..... Should it be that way? Absolutely not, but it's the age we live in. Just because we don't think that should be a problem in our small towns doesn't mean it won't be. It's no reason not to attend somewhere, just something to consider.

Don't do it is my advice. It was supposed to be pre-finished but didn't come that way..... If you find yourself in my spot send me a text or call me and I'll give you some pointers I learned the hard way. It's absolutely opposite of staining wood.

how many are diehard old country fans?
Sledgehammer replied to Gabriella Cook's topic in General Chat
Local station plays what they call "classic country" and it's pretty decent. They play the same 35 songs over and over but it could be a lot worse. I can't stand much of the modern "country" music. -
Grandpa served in Germany towards the end of WW2. He would have been 100 this year and graduated HS in 1944 before being drafted. I don't know of any WW2 vets left locally.

Nice pics to find.

Looks like a place you could "blow" some money....

Glad they made it right. I don't see as much Mac around here as some other brands but what I have (bought used) I do like.

Anyone familiar with native American tools?
Sledgehammer replied to Board Shortener Tom's topic in General Chat
I don't know anything about them but that's interesting for sure. -
That's a pretty cool find. And pretty fair sized too. Does he get to keep it? Company requisition it?
