Skunks don't see well compared to other varmints. If you stand still they will walk right past you in many instances. (Easier said than done) They are a creature of habit around here. If you see one at 6pm today the odds of seeing it tomorrow around the same time are greater. Most people I know who get one in a live trap simply throw the trap in a pond and come back later. Blanket over the top works decently well. I have never seen one bother larger livestock but they will kill smaller livestock like a chicken given the chance. The spray is yellow/green when it comes out, It will kill grass when concentrated enough, and from 8' away a 30-30 does a number on one 🦨 or so I'm told..... I've also been told they can't spray unless their tail is up so all you really need to do is grab one and hold it's tail down.

I have used the clear fingernail polish with some success. Mostly stay out of taller grasses. I have also kept bugs out of camping areas by spraying Tempo a day or two ahead of time.

I almost wonder if they were. Never seen them at this show before or anywhere else. I was never any closer to the 1406 to get more pics either.

I didn't. That truck was in amongst the hit/miss engines and I'd say had hauled some in. It was an ex-fire truck but I don't know any more.

One oddball I found interesting. Not sure the engine in this horse but someone will probably be able to ID it for us here. I'm guessing 429/468. Looked like a 1566 to start with and 56 series sheet metal widened to fit. Frame rails widened. Not a botch job and unique from anything I've seen. Labeled "1556".

Southern Indiana Antique Machinery show that is. It's about an hour drive for me to cross over from IL but worth the drive. Nice show with a flea market and toy show attached. Also a LARGE lawn and garden tractor presence which isn't my thing but put on nicely. Here are some pics I took today. All colors.

We bought a place in 2022 from the second owners. Have all the proof since sovereignty when it was homesteaded around 1818 or just before. Second family owned it over 100yrs. All of the original 200acres is intact. The house still has original 14-18" oak timbers visible inside. It was moved here from near the creek in 1854 and added onto in the 1880's to make the outside dimensions it is now. Kitchen added on around 2000. Where I live has been in my family since the 1830's or before. My great grandparents tore down a house that was over 100yrs old in 1948 to build the one I live in and have just renovated now. The original 160ac block is still in the family and has been added onto over time. My house is still a work in progress right now with a fresh addition.......

That's a steal for those wrenches. Good work! I like good wrenches. I still have the original Craftsman set I got in about 1997. I probably use my Craftsman professional ratchet wrenches more than anything around the shop. Some of them are starting to slip a gear now and then. I have bought several sets used over the years. I bought a full set of craftsman's for my boy before he was born 1/4-1" because they matched and were a good deal. I've picked up USA made Blue Point set this year that seem fairly nice. I think the newer BP is made in Taiwan. The SO are still made in the US if a guy can afford them or find a deal. Since I don't make money with my hand tools I only buy nice used when the deal is right. These are two different eras to make the set but they are all USA made. It came with one SO in 1/2" but I have since found a matching BP replacement.

With all the other stuff going on I've been really late planting sweet corn. Got it done this morning. I went full out this year. Got Grandpas AC 200 out tied to the 45 vibrashank for a tillage machine and planted with my 686.

They are perfectly live. I see no issue with live 209's. They pose more danger than spent 209's but only if you are really handy with a hammer and punch. I even used a carbide burr on the inside of the primer pocket so the cabinet screws would set in there correctly.
