I can't bring myself to look at it long enough to tell!🤮. I was hoping it had dropped down the thread far enough to never see it again!🙈

they made those? for what crop? looks like a 20's roadster

No, somebody built that for whatever reason. I've seen 'Low B's' but a low WD 45 is a new one on me.

I truly envy those who have enough time to build stuff like that. Wish they would come over and help with the garden, mowing, and whatever else it is that I do that keeps me from doing stuff like that!

A friend was following a tractor and field cultivator through a work zone a few years ago and said that the lane was too narrow, he was running over the barrels. He just moved over in the lane they were working on and moved back over where they had the lane torn up and knocked down more barrels!

..that, @whwelditcould have come straight  from  the (NZ) '' Dept of Conservation ''..locally known as the Dept of Constipation.. (for obvious reasons...)

They only hire morons and  village idiot types...so it seems...and if you have a University degree in , say, making tomato sauce.. well , you are in like Flynn...The more impractical one is the one they will find a job for...Neanderthals   welcome...

There motto seems to be ...." If it grows...cut it down ''...If it moves ,shoot it ""

Just another  bunch of totally useless  Govt employee's.....having a very negative effect on any  Govt  land ...and any  adjacent Farmers to that land.....

Person I know had to take a combine with the header on through road construction like that.

I'm not kidding when he said the top of every cone was squished for all 3 miles of road construction...😄

While on the harvest run 20 years ago, we were traveling to the next job. Some town we went thru had just set up their cones down main street.  Telephone poles were right behind the curb. With a 12 wide 2388 IH on the trailer the boss in the lead truck said "DON"T HIT THE POLES!!!" Well , if one truck didn't get the cone the next one would. Think every cone went down. Poor road worker was standing at the end of them watching and when I went by his mouth was moving. I didn't want to hear what he as saying!!!

I was hauling a round baler through TX a couple years ago.  Had to get on I35 in Waco from a side road.  There was road construction someplace and the route to I35 was some sort of tortuous maze that also had construction on it.  One road was maybe 3-4 lanes wide but the dumb nuts had coned off all but the right most lane, and the right side of that lane was a concrete barrier.  Baler wheel hubs stuck off the side of the trailer slightly.  Under no circumstances was I going to risk hitting the wall so I held toward the cone side and played road bowling . . .

Seemed like in TX any road construction we encountered had the lanes squeezed so narrow only a Smart car would have fit comfortably.  There were a couple places that had Jersey barriers on either side of a "2 lane" road.  The lanes were so narrow I would plant my trailer right on the center line and stay there until I was through.

I have come up on these cones and barrels many times. No warnings posted before you get there and no way to turn around once you see them. A few years ago in road construction, they would not let me through with a 24 row planter. I said I couldn’t turn around where we were at. The boss came up there irate and told me to get out of the way to let the cars through. They forced us to try and turn around and the tractor got stuck blocking the entire road in both directions. He came back over there giving me attitude and I lost it on that guy. I told him that I told him we couldn’t make it and he made me do it anyway. Nobody got through until the wrecker pulled us out and they had to move some stuff so we could go the way we had intended in the first place. It was a real mess.

We had hay laying and ready to bale, raked it in the morning, headed up the road with the baler and they decided to start paving at 1pm. Tried to stop us from getting to the field,  dad told him the only way he wasnt getting to the field is if they cut him a $10k check for the hay laying. We baled the hay ontime.

Was running with a drill rig, putting casing in for relief wells along the Mississippi River. We hit a fairly new looking gas main. Started calling JULIE and Ameren to find out why it wasn’t marked. Come to find out, it was an abandoned Ameren line that went to the powerhouse just south of where we were drilling. You could still read the writing on it, it looked like it had just been put in.
