One can only hope. Might be a good year if the snow keeps coming like it has been around here.  Just a couple hours north they've had 3 feet already. Made a real mess though trees down everywhere and of course no frost for the groomer to travel on.

Your doing better than us then, we just had a super wet summer, high water in all the rivers and such, temp dropped with the fall and no more rain storms or snow, wouldn't you know.  So far we are not having a good start

Days like today I sure wish I could climb on one of my tractors and go mow something. Great therapy and really helps with the stress.

Some people don't care if anything gets done, and it drives me nuts

If you ever feel the need to get on a tractor and mow something, just let me know and we'll put you to work in one of the hay fields!

I hope so, I still have seen nothing but pictures of the 230.  I have been in Valdez and my wife made the deal.  I am getting excited to see it, Christmas is coming early

I should have made arrangements to stop by today and take a look so I could beat you to it ;)

I spend a couple hours at the borough assessors office trying to figure out what easements we have on the farm (seriously took that long and we still haven't figured it all out).  Anyway, one of the ladies who works there saw one of the old pictures of the place with the 460 still on it and was going on about how much she wants an IH tractor.

In other news, 2 of the 3 parcels for the farm were established before the borough existed so they don't have easement records from the initial deed for them.  This could be fun from the sound of it.

if you stop by to see the newest steed please send pictures!!!

There are country folk everywhere, and they normally want a tractor.

Your not to far from the pipeline either, all kinds of easements and Right of Way stuff, then they have the power lines running back to RGV-77. Heck you might be dating back to the territorial days and have an original homestead.

Yeah, it could be a case study. Good luck

I leave tomorrow and back Friday night, so don't think I'll get to see it before you unless you'll be gone a while yet.

Yeah, I believe at least part of the property is an original homestead.   We don't have a pipeline easement or anything like that, I'm just trying to figure out what the width of the section line easement is.   The 2 large tracts  are the ones that I'm not sure about.  It's actually possible they don't have one at all (although I expect there is something).  The width is important due to someone planning on using the easement to access property through our farm.  So the width of the easement determines how much effort they'll have to put in or if they get to put a road on top of one of our fields and we lose that production.

really? right thru your field? and if your get a field road around you let them have the run of the place?

if they have land back there why not use the pipeline and then turn in? uncle Al always keep nice roads

oh, and i hope to be back Thursday

I meant that if you give them a small field road around the edge if allows them to wander and your screwed again

There are two section lines, one I don't think will ever be used, but the other is centered on that drainage ditch between the two fields.  The problem is he thinks it's wide enough that he can just put his road on the edge of the field with no clearing.   He's a very confrontational type so I need to figure out what the easement really is before I go to saying something about it because if I make issue and the field is in the easement it'll go from a small dirt road to the biggest mess he can make in the easement just to make a point.

yes, and one draw bar. the blade needs a bit of TLC, but nothing out of the ordinary for its age
