Here in Fairbanks wind is pretty unusual, we get a storm occasionally but for the most part no wind. Go 100 miles east or west and it's another story. we beat our record of -33 at the house by 10 degrees last night. Had -43, and all kinds of reports in the negative 50 range in the area. But it appears to be over and things warming up
AKwelder
12 days ago it was 52 below in town, this weekend and Monday it was 36 below, now it's 10 above and headed for the high twenties screwy weather. Anyway, we got the 460's blade back together and I should be plowing in the warm temperatures

Turns out the grommet where the sending unit goes into the tank (bulkhead seal) was the culprit so riddle me this gents, how? The sled has never seen ethonal, it's not even available here! Notta, none, never. I was really suprised at how the rubber was the consistency of wet RTV. This sled has been mine since new, only the loose nut behind the wheel has ever filled it, and I am a whole new level of anal about the gas I get in my machines. I do not buy mechanic in a can additives and rarely add Heet to the thing, and then I use red bottles. Excessive toluene to make the premium gas will do that.
