This thread is in honor of Gary Yaeger a.k.a Old Binder Guy and others who contributed to his thread IH Tractors on Montana Farm and have fallen along the way 

Gary started his thread November 16, 2006 to share his experiences with IH tractors and farm life while growing up.

This thread was created so we can carry on with out stepping on his original narrative about his experiences and the interaction with his other friends here

Seeing how you may be a bit more versed on the 1000 pp of Gary's masterpiece, is that on topic? Or are we just including some randomness?

And, sorry.... I don't have any pics of my old oil burning Mopar clunker.

Gary often referred to "this nonsense back here" or maybe foolishness. But he and we coverd many topics. Mostly at Gary's whim. Lotsa polka and engineer cap etiquette as well. 🙂

I not the expert on Gary's thread. 

 I am pretty sure there was a discussion about his son's mountain cabin and we found some stories about opening up the mountain passes in the spring with IH crawlers and old military trucks i.e. power wagons flowing along with the supplies needed to do the job.

Feel free to post what you want.

Gray posted all his Pointiacs from the past if you have some old Mopars and a story that you have share it.

If you have old Harleys we are happy to hear about them

Sounds good to me!

Though I don't recall the Power Wagons as being oil burners. My dad had an M37 & that thing ran like a top. Might have pictures of that yet & his M38's. There might be one of my Mutt & CJ2A floating around too. When I run across them, I'll post back.

When I first joined the local VFD, they had a couple M37's and and a tiny old jeep, may have been a CJ2???

the M37's were beasts, not fast but couldn't kill em. 

The jeep could only carry 75 gallons of water and it always felt like you were tipping over but I don't think anyone ever did.

l like the idea of a new thread in honor of Gary  aka  OBG.  But l do have a question though. Since it seems that BJ isn't around anymore, who would be needed to be contacted to pin the original "IH Tractors on a Montana Farm" up so it don't get lost in the shuffle?  BTW, l've having problems getting into the "General Chat" thread for over a week now. And to be honest, l'm not sure how or what l did to get here now.

P.S.  lf some folks don't like the name "blue smoke", maybe it could be called the "Polka dotted cap" thread....lol

Anson aka "DeltaDirt" had a lot to do with the "Blue Smoke" portion of the thread I think.  
 

It would be very fitting to pin the original thread at the top somewhere to keep it from being lost. Also fitting to start a thread in memory of those who have passed on.

The louvers on hood and the sides of the body are definitely WC series. A 3/4 ton. The M37 had a cab with a separate pick up body.

Also the combat wheels were WW2 only. M37 started in 1951 iirc but the previous Dodges served on for a while.

....here is something for the ' blue smoke '  thread ...although, actually it is  'coal smoke ' ....she was quietly steaming , awaiting another spin around the paddock...

...belongs to a bloke , not far from where I live.....ex 'cockie'  (farmer...)...and along with the Burrell  traction engine ,there are several IH tractors and a mint single cab Scout, with a 345 and some sort of fibre    glass    top ..detachable ...1978 vintage

The Burrell   is restored to pristine condition.....

The wood work was prob 50k++ alone.  Love to see that in person!
