snoshoe Posted November 29, 2024 Posted November 29, 2024 14 step vom test procedure in manual. Used to have it memorized. Afraid it's only found in the book now. Quote
billonthefarm Posted November 29, 2024 Posted November 29, 2024 Check power and grounds for the sentry. After that you will have to trouble shoot the sensors, solenoids, shift switch, wiring in general. It’s not rocket science but it can frustrate a guy. Quote
snoshoe Posted November 29, 2024 Posted November 29, 2024 The procedure I mentioned does that right in the kick panel at the sentry plug. If someone has it and can post it. It could save alot of digging and scratching. Think it was posted here before but I can't even find my own posts. Quote
HydroTek Posted November 30, 2024 Posted November 30, 2024 Does the transmission do a little bump and try to move ? then the light comes on ? or is the light on from the start ? Does trying with the lever switched to the other side make any difference ? Quote
tractorholic Posted November 30, 2024 Posted November 30, 2024 Did you cycle the clutch? I know on my 52 sometimes I cycle the clutch but don’t push it in far enough and it won’t move. Not trying to insult you but just making sure it isn’t something simple. Quote
acem Posted November 30, 2024 Posted November 30, 2024 Check the hydraulic filter for clutch pieces. Quote
2+2love Posted November 30, 2024 Posted November 30, 2024 The nice thing about mike links new sentry box is that when the sentry system malfunctions all you do is count the blinky lights and it tells you the problem. I have one in my 5488 and it has saved me 2 times. 4 Quote
HydroTek Posted November 30, 2024 Posted November 30, 2024 Need to knock a zero off the end of that price -- Really not that complicated of a device but I suppose ready made , drop in is good for most guys Quote
tractorholic Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 It’s kinda expensive but came out right after I bought a new sentry from caseih. Now THOSE are expensive! If I would’ve had the option, I would have bought one from Mike. My 5288 would stop moving on the low side once in awhile. Then go back to working. Fought the darn thing for a couple years. Everyone said “ no it’s probably not in the sentry” . But it’s worked fine ever since. When I pulled the old sentry out the back side looked sorta melted. I knew it would get warm to the touch. Im not saying that’s Tommy’s trouble, but it might be worth plugging in a different one to see how it acts if he has access to one Quote
Delta88 Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 Got yo have a good 12 volts to the sentry Quote

So when you step down on the clutch pedal does the light go off? Quote
