Fixed rate is 3900 rounds per minute .Originally there were two rates ,2100, and 4200 which could be selected. When they fire ,it sounds like a big buzz saw. Once ,when I was trundling up the Kunar Valley ,( next to the  border with Pakistan,)  in a  UH1N  (Bell 212 )at 100 knots,  one flew underneath  me  from behind, scared the  living  crap out out of me !.He was clipping right along, and threw out some chaff. Looked pretty cool, F/O tried to get a pic ,but wasnt quick enough. They  have to be one of my fav orite  aircraft.!!

C'mon    Peter...don't   copulate around here......put some of your fantastic pictures on this topic.........:)

I had a tailgate jump out of one of those things and don't remember that kind of maneuverability. Although I do see the rotor blades are flexing quite a bit. Is it real?

Australia.    That’s no photoshop,  I have seen those guys in person .

The most I've seen up here is three, named C train, is this a special road name or timeline, I've seen people slow and wait behind C trains, I have to think peeps would be nervous when passing this without an escort.

From what I understand about these road trains is that you would need an airplane to pass one.?

Sticking with the road train theme, believe this to be another from down under?

Not something I would do however

My dogs ride in the cab with me.

Yeah, they mean that much to me!

I'll try to post it from laptop if I can

It's a Facebook thing and I don't do them

In the out back of AU where these are common no one else is on the roads anyway . People forget Australia’s landmass is roughly the size of the United States but in Australia 90% of the population lives within a few miles of the coast. In the outback where these road trains are being driven there is no one and nothing in their way.

LOL. Yeah been there in one of those but doesn't mean I know anything about them. Daytime Hollywood jump at Ft Bragg is not something pilots get overly excited about.  Maybe they are way more nimble then they appear.

Why?  Like you're well traveled. ..what is it about that old city?  Cool pic though.  Chopper guy was in Germany touring Claas and they took few days down to Fr.   He recalled my oldest like the Effil tower from me saying something and got her a 6" tall one from the gift shop there.  Same chinka as one here but she was over the moon since it was from France France!  By her alarm clock still
