AKwelder Posted June 27, 2016 Author Posted June 27, 2016 Hitch on the Super C was loose this would be the problem so when I went to the machinist he said he needed to weld it up before boring it out, I happen to know a welder and a little bit of cleaning, grinding, filing weldingm sanding, cursing, and two trips to town. And here we go one more item off the list, next to get the hoses and cylinder up to snuff, she likes to "Mark" her spot more then I am comfortable with Quote

Not like the kids that are siting behind a tv all day. Hitch will be good for many more years now again. Always feels good to get them little annoying things fixed up so they're right again. AKwelder Posted July 4, 2016 Author Posted July 4, 2016 (edited) Cleared a few trees on the lot next to the house this weekend. Super skinny birch trees in a thick stand. They are arching over from reaching for the sun and starting to collapse. me and the wife loaded the still not done dump trailer Saturday it was nice to not have to unload so Sunday me and the boys did some more trees, my skidder operator did a great job we cut them up into usable lengths and skidded them to the landing where the wagon was Before cutting up. I asked what he had, old Lincoln he says, smart Alec me says I will buy it if it runs for $500! He looks at me and say he will bring it over. Ouch Now I need to talk to my better half Old continental with a magneto, 6 volt positive ground and a generator Face, do not plug in to that outlet with anything new, variable speed works one time on the 110 VOLT DC tends to end things quickly Quote

The trailer has a few more fabrication steps before paint. Then I need to put everything into a thread on the build board. We have located a blaster (for rent with no operator) so I was hoping to do a trial of painting before getting to the Farmalls. I have been contemplating giving that welder an R&R, that's a Ramos Restoration, just to keep it in looking the part. Quote

Not that we don't have good welders but they are in such demand & busy. I used to weld but first thing DOC. told me with Pace-Maker was no welding. I was never that good though !
