Had a buddy that just painted his Super H with the new CaseIh paint and it was garbage. The 2150 almost had an orange tint to it and he said it was garbage to try and get to spray on even. This was from a gallon can. He ended up repainting the tractor with another brand of paint.

Sounds like the paint settled out

In our ordeal I took a gallon to the local hardware store and had them shake it for me.  Went back and got the same results, doesn’t look right, doesn’t spray right.

Last winter I painted a wagon axle and a bar rake with “old paint” that I had way in the bottom of my cabinet.  The CIH red in sure was from  the early 90’s. 94 at the latest. And the NH  red and yellow were from Before that.  Paint wasn’t totally separated and it mixed up -perfectly- with a  mixing tool I made for a drill.  I sure wish I had a few of those gallons now.

That paint was before a time when "they" decided Kids were eating all of the paint chips

I painted this in  the early 90’s with 2150.  Pic taken this past spring . 1000’s of field hours later

What’s the paint decision on the 2150 yah,nay, ? And of course why ? Will help me ?

I would source it somewhere other than CNH.

We had the old 2150 in 1 gallon containers.  There were no rattle cans at dealership.  Tough to see in pics but there is an obvious difference in 2150 red.  Fortunately my dad had purchased a few rattle cans which I borrowed and redoing a few small pieces.

As stated above, the new rattle cans are terrible and one would not rattle at dealership cause I read the comment from @fudwayne So if doing touch up work be aware.

Dad made a mess with gas on the SuperM and fortunately I have his original 1 gallon still.

I did post awhile ago, used a gallon of the new red on the 856, also I use a lot of the Nason hardeners and reducers and their clear coat, I am sure its all meant for the synthetic enamel of which 2150 is? tractor turned out good, recently did buy a rattle can of the new 2150 but havent used it yet, If the rattle cans arent okay then what would be a good alternative? Actually  the sheet metal turned out better  than my other attempts at sheet metal,
