  7. Did that, the tach cable ends up at a real sharp angle against the block.
  8. I can tell by the angle of the tach drive that somewhere in that engines life, someone had the oil pump off and reinstalled it 1 tooth off. I've got 1 like that and it bugs me how it sticks way out, not parallel to the block, but I'm not going to drop the pan just for that.
  9. You've got 2 problems. The sprag is shot in the TA and won't hold. The lube light on means no oil pressure, once it goes out the pressure builds and now the hold back clutchs on low side of TA grab and it drives.
  10. If your numbers are correct you would go from 6 mph to 6.33 mph with the 34" tires.
  11. Yes they all came with ISO factory. The large IH couplings came out with the 66 series tractors.
  12. Hence why I said primary tillage tool. I've disced hundred of times after a moldboard but it sounded to me like the OP was discing standing sod.
  13. A disc is not a primary tillage tool. If your trying to bury grass you need a field cultivator or chisel plow.
  14. I bought my IH set for $250 at a swap meet. My M&W set I gave the guy $300. I swear there's more dual hubs in the world than tractors they'll fit on.
  15. So you want to spend a lifetime finding parts and paying 3 times the tractors value, to piece together a crappy M&W setup vs using the factory setup because you don't want to find a hood?????? Both my 806 and 856 have the factory turbo setup. Swapping the hood was the easiest part.
  16. All fine and dandy until you realize you're trying to shim two different sized circles with shims only on 1 side. This leaves the other side of the circle with a very small contact patch, I.E. the clamp. Your clamp is going to snap eventually. Also your hub will move forward/rear in that Pic, I can see the taper on the hub isn't contacting the axle and I can see the gap at the ends of the axle clamp that will allow it to flex and eventually snap. You'll either lose a dual or have a dual on an eccentric, that'll be a fun time. 3.25 hubs are literally everywhere, you could have done it the right way by now AND sold the harder to find 3.5" hubs you have for good money. Also, get that paint off those axles, they weren't ment to be painted.
  17. 1, your never going to find an M&W. 2, you should just find a 1206/1256 setup for $2500 and put it on.
  18. In 1970 there was approximately 1.8 million acres of irrigation in Kansas, today it's 3.1 million acres. Nebraska had 4.0 million acres under irrigation in 1970. Today its 7.3 million acres of irrigation. That's 4.3 million more acres. It's well documented that the Ogalala is replenished by rocky mountain snow melt, how much of that has been diverted to Denver. It's also well documented that the snow totals are trending down. All of those add up to why the water level is dropping. Another point to think about is flood irrigation water doesn't percolate all the way down to the aquifer, it stays relatively close to the surface. I can see this leading to saturated soils, which lead to poor root growth. A pivot keeps the soil moist but not saturated. Up here in MN wet soil and ponding water is a big problem. Over charged soil profiles are not good, I think the combination of not flooding the soil profile and less water use are why the pivot has become so popular.
  19. It's not 1973 any more...... Modern pivot sprinklers are way closer to the ground and the droplet size is much larger to mitigate evaporation. It's well documented that pivots use less water per bushel of crop harvested.
  20. You had the M. Then the Super M. Then the very last year of the Super M you could get one with a TA. Every model could be ordered with a gas, lpg, or diesel. The MV was just the hi crop version.

  22. They are SE just a few mile of Keif by Kandt lake but have rural water piped in, does your plant send water down there too?
  23. Got the loader and cab off today, new used muffler went on after I took the Pic. Tomorrow it gets pressure washed.
