Mish5288 Posted September 4 Posted September 4 My 5288 was mostly operating only on the low side, but would then have high side gears after running for an hour or so. Only use it for planting beans and chopping corn. Used it a few times this summer for odds and ends, now no sentry light and no movement. Grounds are good and I have power to each plug. Is it safe to run the test harness if I unplug one of solenoids so it only runs in high or low? I need to chop corn this week and was hoping that would get me by. I don't want to risk having both clutches engaged at one time and ruin the clutch packs. Hoping for advice. Quote

Too good of a tractor to destroy with a cheap fix. I have a 5288 in the shop now that has the new Sentry on it. The on board diagnostics is a real game changer. It's a blink system with a red and green LED that tells exactly what is happening. 3 1 Quote

buckeyefarmer89 Posted September 10 Posted September 10 I wouldn’t use the test harness. I would at least get a new sentry from Triple R Tractor. The last time I had a no light no shift scenario replacing the 2 relays in the sentry box fixed it. Make sure your batteries are up to snuff. Quote
