I was thinking just a rope and pulleys but it would be easier with a 300 lb winch

Got it upside down today. Have to clean up the spots for the suspension brackets and measure then tack .... Remeasure then remeasure before welding the suspension brackets. I have to alter something with the toolbox latch for that to catch

I have the axles on. I trimmed the channels for tire clearance but I want to add  flat stock to them in the shape of the cut . I went home and proceeded to split the tip of my middle finger with a piece of firewood and the wood stove. 10 stitches and 3 hours later I'm home.. probably be not getting much accomplished for a bit. Definitely want to go to the auction Saturday now

Looking good.   Since you have the angle iron across the frame and hangers have you considered putting a flat iron (3/8 x 3 or so) on angle from inside of center hanger to corresponding cross member to help prevent twisting of hangers?

No I only mirrored the original bracing. That would probably be a good idea

Students built various size farm trailers in shop.   Any double axle trailer built got bracing on a 45 degree angle (or close as possible) from each hanger to closest crossmember.   Figured when trailer was loaded it kept danger of twisting hangers to a minimum. Always thought the tire would twist off rim first.

Thought of this one we did.   Trailer was a 16 ft bumper pull.  Owner wanted this instead.   Added the gooseneck and rear drop/ramps.   Moved the axles some, I just don’t remember how much. He brought it back after painting it.    Only picture I have.

Saw that the neighbor had the gooseneck hooked up today. I'll have to ask him how it worked. 

Been busy at the farm lately despite the weather not allowing us to do any planting. Been chasing after fertilizer spreaders . I looked at 4 different places last week including one in Ohio. I passed on one at the sale I was at today and then my brother got one bought at a different sale . I sold a 4fiddy and it was picked up early today and then at the sale I got a parts BN. I followed the suggestion to inspect the MX 200 and it seemed fairly solid mechanically and I was able to buy it. It definitely looks not great as it was touched up horribly with a spray can or maybe brush. That can wait till later to be corrected. Triple PTO and 3 remotes with good rubber but no duals . It was a 2 hour drive home with it towing a silage wagon we got for the gear .

I picked up the BN this evening as I think field work is going to be full speed ahead any day. We did not have any showers today. I think I will try to save the BN as it's very late production approximately 1,500 from the end of 1947 including the A variant tractors in the same numbers. I'm guessing that the B and BN were very low production compared to the A . I have a C motor I'd probably use if not a super C motor. I should have a usable hood but I won't have a better grill . I have a parts A transmission and this one the shifter seems stuck in neutral. I'd probably put a bench seat on for parades etc ...... This adds to my project list .... Again but it's definitely a back burner project

Pretty clean looking old chopper box too.  20 years ago I’d have tried to come buy the gears, auger and top beater off of that. We ran a small fleet of those that style.  Only ever had to shovel  about half of one of them out by hand after a breakdown

I've never seen one before with metal sides branded IH. Has something wrong with the drive system at the beaters or auger. Definitely parts there

I haven’t seen an IH metal one either.  Ours were orange Kastens and red Gehls.  Idk who actually made them but they were all the same

I want to say that is a kasten made box. It has the same style beaters and controls as our 2 kastens we use.

87 GMC one ton frame of my boys I put it on two engine stands this morning. It needs a little bit of work. He is making it 4X4 and dually and restoring the bodywork
