Just having some trivia fun here. Can anyone remember J.I. CASE's advertising slogan from sometime back in the 70's? I think this would have been during the era of the 970, 1070, 1370, etc. tractors... I think they were known as CASE TENNECO back then.

The slogan had 5 words. I'll help get started. The slogan was: "CASE- Doing (blank blank blank)"

Ok what are the 3 words of the slogan that I left out? :P

All I can recall is the ending line of one that went "J.I.Case, the power specialist". I seem to remember this from the early seventies but thats the only line that stuck in my mind.

About the same time International had a jingle that ran like this,, "You keep on moving with IH, International Harvester". Funny how I can remember the Massey song from the sixties better than Case from the seventies. :(

I can remember an engine slogan they had, "Big bore, long stroke"...But that's not 5 words...

DOING SOMETHING ABOUT IT. BILL

I remember something like:

"Case: The Tractor Power Specialist" (we have to be, our implements and combines were out of date and not competitive)

"A Case History" ads (remember various out of sequence numbers, does anyone have the entire series?

"Life on Cloud 94"

All I knew of for a Case phrase is what they had on their Service Manuals: "Written in Clear And Simple English"

All I can remember was this slogan: "The tractor specialists".

Ha, what a joke. If they were the "tractor specialists", I'd hate to see a "non specialist" tractor manufacturer then! :o:lol:

Massey Ferguson. ;) (although the smaller MF's under 100 HP weren't SO bad, and they had a good combine until the 550!

Massey had a good hayline in the 60's to 80's, lots of 41 dynabalances mowers, #3, #9, #12, 124 224 etc balers, side rakes, 725/925 mo/cos etc sold in these area. At least around here they seemingly out sold IH.

I like the new "MF" hayline -- Hesston and New Idea gear, or if you want to be red the 1980's/1990's CIH hay line.
