I see a lot of those around. Looks like a concrete sole on that one.

Not advice but a general comment - used to, every small town or at least every other town had a place you could buy good quality work boots, AND someone there who could repair/resole/modify them. That's all gone now. You have to go to a big town to find any selection, and then they still won't have what you want, everything is online/ can't try on.

I haven't bought what I would consider a "quality" pair of boots in 15 years. Sounds like good boots still exist, but not for what I am willing to spend.

Good luck.

I'm on concrete all day, and my feet get tired fast being as fat as I am lol! For several years I was buying the RedBack slip on short top boots. They were always tight for the first week or so, but would break in nice. Well, they quit dealing with them on the Matco truck, so I bought a pair of Brunt Ohmans. They were comfortable right out of the box, and are still going great, need to order another pair. My only complaint, is they seem bigger than they need to be on the outside, so I feel like I'm wearing a size 12, when I'm only size 9 lol! I've gotten used to that part now. Maybe if you're a size 12 they aren't like that too? lmao!

Manners have been pretty good, but the Chippewas i got 4/23 have been the best I've ever owned. I did have to glue the soles back on 8/25 with shoegoo, but I've never had a pair of shoes last even two years before blowing out the sides. I'm going into the fourth year, and they are still comfortable. They get worn all day every day, often with a lot of walking, or even hiking.

I've worn solely Darn Tough for ten years. I probably have twenty pairs.

I have been wearing Nicks for probably 5 or 6 years with great success. Thorogood is a good boot too, just don’t last as long.

I have the air grip version, I want to like them but I can’t stand the heel.
