How many mile loaded?  My 3500 ccsb single tows gross 30k cattle fine.  BUT i know dual would be nice.  Then i think...can i fit in that coffee stand?  Could i zip through the car wash quick?  Garage?  

Watch them 6.0.  Buddy traded his in 8 years ago for a 6.7.  100k F250 4x4 CCSB Lariat.  New one was 60k + at the time.  13000 trade in.  Dealers do not want them period.  Such bad rep here for head gaskets.  Again look in WA for a 6.0 6.4 Ferd if you want one they are generally silly cheap vs any other brand.

Parked because it had a flat and it got terrible gas mileage several years ago.  Driven to where it is parked.  

I can get it going and it would drive but it will need tires, etc before being put back in use.

For a few tractor pulls a year, I wouldn’t worry about a dually.  I pulled around a 12,000 lb tractor and duals on a gooseneck with my 4 door single wheel for 4-5 years with no issues, yes a dually would have gave more stability, but for everyday use, I wouldn’t want a 4 door dually

Georgia and Florida should be good too. Not sure if rust is an issue in North Carolina.

Coastal South Carolina is also a rust belt, so is the San Fran Bay in Cal. For some reason the San Diego Bay area is not really a rust area. Orange County or lower LA area is also good, away from the ocean,  Never purchase a vehicle where salt water gets close to the vehicle or deicer is always dumped on ever winter. DALLAS Tex is hit and miss on rust and Houston is worse without much ice , depending on how much ice in the life of the vehicle in Dallas area.  Walmart Arkansas area (Springdale) appears to be very rust free, I know the owner of a K20 84 Chevy 4X4, it has been the parts truck at his  family repair shop and well maintained  since new in 84, I rolled around looking for rust, and wear and tear none to speak of. Back when Chev K series still had a gear-drive xfer-case. (NP 203 ??).

I gotta drive the other way around the block and see if I can get my neighbors  burgundy ‘18 denali with a perforated frame, the replacement frame sitting on blocks, and the matching chrome/burgundy ‘26 denali he bought to drive while he does the swap, all in one picture.  Actually, that bad frame one, it might be a ‘17, or even a ‘16, I know he had it one winter before  I bought my ‘18.  I was thinking we had gotten them at the same time 

 

I will never buy a GM truck again, unless they change their frame protection process.   If they painted the frames before lightly misting that black soft wax on there, that would be one thing, but applying that thin/non durable/crap to bare steel that has likely already started to rust….that just seems silly to me.  Son-in-law is on his third duramax.  He plows, and doesn’t really have the same maintenance ideas as me.  Just bought a ‘24 with 40k on it. In about two winters….the frame/suspension will be -100%- (100%) covered in various shades of rust. Not terrible. But brown either way.   Only way to avoid it would be to chemically strip it, and then paint it, or strip it and apply a quality undercoating. Because nothing of quality will adhere to that factory junk coating, not as intended anyway

Ford used a similar “wax” on the early superdutys.  ‘99-02 inthink? I chemically striped my fathers ‘99 when it was new and brush/roller/touch up gun,painted the frame on the exterior with rustoleum, and the inside with fluid film. Local contractor had it for years after we traded it in ‘06.

Highs bouncing around 100+- all week. Lows in the upper 70s. Plenty of humidity with dew points in the 70s.

Just typical July in Arkansas.

Sure could use a rain though. This heat drys us out in a hurry.

That's where I've been looking the most. I would really like a good clean one. It was right around 22k pounds.

You should get that ole 14 back out for a couple tugs this year. I don't use it everyday anyway is the issue. If I'm going somewhere I usually am pulling chopper boxes, running to get something to haul back or pulling the gooseneck. I maybe put 8000 miles on a year, if, I have to make extra parts runs.

6.0 L fords don't bring much down here. Too hard to keep running. Even if they are bullet proofed.

A few die hard fans but most people won't touch them.

Are you talking about my dad’s 1566?? Or the 1466 that my brother and I own? Problem with the 15 is it’s sat for the last 6-8 years, I’m guessing the fuel system is in need of a major overhaul from sitting with this crap biofuel

I was talking your dad's 15, sorry I realized that this morning and just jumped on to look and see if I said 14 or 15. Watching that thing pull in Princeton was my favorite as a kid. I knew it was all over for everyone else haha.

Yes, you probably have a point there. I found a clean (er) f350 in south Dakota. I think I'll take a look at. It's not a manual, but it's nice, checks most of the boxes I am wanting.

I wouldn’t worry about a manual, my 99 350 with the 7.3 had a 50 hp chip for quite a few years, pulled the gooseneck with tractors or hay, and other things, has around 245,000 on it, and still going.
