A friend was commenting the other day that it will cost him over a grand to fill up his big 4wd tractors each time... It'll cost me over $500 just to fill up my 1480 combine! Probably need a 715 running LPG this year!!! Haven't seen a combine or cotton picker running LPG since the 80s...

A wrapper is a good tool but it does include more work, costs and potential waste from torn wrap. Everything is a balancing act.

The 1066 hydro transmission has value way beyond scrap. Should at least go to a salvage yard. A 1066 hydro is a tractor I've always wanted.

IF we had pics working, the manual I posted in this thread would be helpful. It goes through all of this. You can see the images if you Google redpowermagazine.com acem electrical manual.

Just pay the house off sooner!

The Loadstars with DT466 I have watched sell (online) the past few years have been high priced and high mileage. Saw one with three quarter million miles showing on the odometer!

You can do many things with them. Even make booze. Don't eat them until they're ready...

Wrappers give you more options. Very handy.

Sometimes I need to hear something like this. Good song.

But a 756, 856, 1256 would be a safe tribute tractor as they never made any.

Ive lost 3 friends and almost another in car wrecks in the past year... Be safe.

A friend who is an old oilfield mechanic learned this at a training class by Cat or similar. Coolant is whatever the operators put in the radiator to make it work. Might be antifreeze, distilled water and proper additives. Might be tap water. Might be mud from a road ditch. It's his job to make it work for the operators whatever they use. However maintenance schedules may vary depending on what is used.

Ultimately there is no way to prove a tractor is an original Gold Demonstrator. However there are ways to prove some are not. I have seen a CIH gold demonstrator. Don't remember if it was a Magnum or Stieger. It was working on a farm in eastern Arkansas.

Just piss in the radiator...

I'm pretty sure different rasp bars have different dimensions. Specialty vs grain rotor. Spiked vs standard. We use all spiked in rice on the specialty rotor. Works pretty good with green stem soybeans too. Does ok in corn but breaks up the cobs pretty small.

I usually have some late summer allergies. However it's been so dry and hot for so long that most everything is dead and not releasing pollen. I'd rather have some moisture and lower temperatures with allergies...

A local school canceled a cross country meet tomorrow. Forecast high of 105F. Deemed unsafe.

Remove some gold painted panels. There should be gold paint on the back side from the factory. At least mine does.
