  2. Todd's buddy Pete will be along soon probably
  3. Get Gator Blades for the deck and it will chop them up pretty fine
  4. Hahaha... glad at least one person knows...
  5. It's not a bentstack black dash 4020 (If you know, you know) but they are not plentiful
  6. Dude got a FREE running 435.... he needs a powerball ticket asap
  7. Hot setup is 466 block and head with spark plugs close to 700+ cubes high rpm. Stock 501 is nice for div 3 or 6mph classes.
  8. I'm going to try and get my F-30 updated it's 700 but still running factory manifold and modified K6 zenith. Going to try and update to a header and 2 1/8" zenith marine carb. That means I'll have to get a ign box since the gov won't hook up to that carb. Still only be running 2500 rpm though.
  9. My previous job I went to a few prisons. Going through the Sally port is a creepy feeling. Then on a couple the inmates unloaded me. Those guys weren't the real bad ones though.
  10. Buy that 311 for
  11. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allison_1000_transmission
  12. When I bought my 2wd 2500hd 6.0 in '02 as a '03 model year you could only get 4.10 rears 4spd trans. My 8.1 2500hd was also an '03 but it had an Allison 5spd and 3.73's. Idk if you had a choice of rear ratios in a 3500.
  13. That is not a real Allison https://ir.allisontransmission.com/news-releases/news-release-details/chevrolet-offer-10-speed-fully-automatic-allison-branded
  14. For what I paid for the 8.1 compared to the '04.5 dmax and how much I pulled a trailer the 8.1 was a better truck.
  15. Mine used a tiny bit maybe 1/2 quart per 3000 miles. Which isn't much for a big block.
  16. I had both... not much difference. The 6.0 had 4.10's and was 2wd the 8.1 had a real Allison and 3.73's 4wd. So not really apples to apples but man would that 496 pull.
  17. That's a bunch. You've done well on maintaining it. Can I ask what's been done to it?
  18. 500?? Why?
  19. Depending on how the tractors are set up weight becomes a concern.
  20. If it's a 9 liter it has better heads
  21. Dimmer switch on the floor seems so much easier
  22. It's not hard to bypass the glow plug controller and just use a button in the cab. Did it on dad's C-10 350 diesel. Worked great! It had fuel drain back too if it sat for a week you had to give it some wd40.
  23. Be hard to get any work done lol "Where's Dave?" Out playing with blocks lol
  24. Have got an old 465? Rancher? Out at the farm it's gotta be 25 years old 20" I believe with compression release. That was a hedge tree cutting animal. We never even turned up the rpm after the break in period. Hasn't ran in years though.
  25. Todd you ain't got BLACK dirty like that anywhere near you lol
