Yes. In the picture he was actually on the barn but the "barn cats" we have/had actually live in the barn. They get fed some and all the mice they can eat for free 😊

Had a good barn cat for years. "Mr Poody" was a fun one. He would actually hang out with the cattle in the pasture. Seeing a cat with an actual cow lick in its hair is pretty funny. He made it to over 15 as we inherited him from somewhere else and couldnt prove age.

What's the tank on the side. Looks like LP? Never seen one side mounted but there weren't factory made LP I-9's I don't think. Cool that it still exists.

I have one very similar but my book is buried in a tote from being moved around. It was used with some sort of Ford and a 3pt the PO had when they farmed. I know that family quit farming in the late 40's.

That building has housed about every sort of show known to mankind I think. I've showed cattle in that building, been to the NFMS, been to gun shows, and the "Show of Shows" military show multiple times in that building. Uncle had a few Case tractors years ago and one was a 76' model that had Stars and Stripes on it if I remember correctly. I ran it for a day once when I was about 14.

Found first one after lunch. Too a quick lap before work.

Nice find! I have seen a very few that have dropped here but haven't really looked yet. I'd say after this 2week snow event and deep freeze we just had there will be some more found.

I love the 527. I really wish I had bought more calibers of them when they were still being produced. Accurate, single set trigger, detachable mag, etc...

He has a narrow front diesel 806 with bean cutters on it. Not totally sure what type of beans they did in CA but I'm pretty sure it was not green beans.

@stronger800 Two of my buddies shot three coyotes about a month ago while raccoon hunting. The coyotes came in and they both had .17hmr rifles. It can be very effective, I just prefer the .22mag personally. I had a .17 centerfire years ago. It was running about 4200fps and if the bullet hit a blade of grass on its way to the target it would vaporize and never break paper.

I am one of the biggest proponents of 22mag anywhere. I love the Hornet also for smaller game normally. Up to raccoon I use the mag. Above the mag I use Hornet. I prefer the mag to the 17hmr personally. Normal go-to coyote gun when I'm hunting is 22-250. I load my own but this was a factory round. The hornet really drops at 200+ so know your range also. 22-250 is still pretty flat at 200.
