  1. Good friend of mine made the classic mistake, and one that we are all guilty of, getting in a hurry Had a 9n he was working on, fighting a bad carb, got in a hurry, fired it up in gear and it ran over him Extremely luckily no major injuries, just bruises and cuts, but still not something you want to be doing 3 days before you turn 76 Don’t get in hurry guys, it’s not worth injuries or worse be safe out there
  2. Looked to be a conversion to LP it’s in WTX so very possible, although it had a Gas carb on it
  3. Found this old girl sitting on ranch, pretty odd
  4. Used the M as a jump pack to charge up some batteries before they froze, that one wire delco is coming in handy lol these ones didn’t quite make it 😂
  5. Surviving it just fine here in Imperial tx got a smudge pot, a roof, and a M to service, what more does a man need? about 27° and raining now
  6. 85°F here in West Texas, has been for a while we had one little baby snow storm that put some freezing rain out, but it was back to mid to high 70s the next day gonna be rough year here for cows and deer , 3” of rain all year, up by Snyder and Rotan they only got 9”, and they usually get around 20”ish feel free to send that snow over, we sure could use it
  7. They have there goods and bads, I’d rather have a 450 but those are like hens teeth out here and I’m too lazy to build a 3 point for the M lol
  8. You won the guess 60 LP soon to be gas
  9. Yeah it’s to keep the hood from flying off lol, ask me how I know this lol
  10. Not even the worst story I’ve heard on that a friend of my dad, had 2 sons, I believe 14 and 17 they were drilling post holes with a 9n ford, 1 brother left for a second, came back to older brother wrapped around the auger, doa a year later younger son was shredding on the same 9n, went under a tree got knocked off and went under the shredder, his dad found him that afternoon doa Sorry OP for high jacking your thread, but it’s worth noting that these old tractors, while tons of fun, can be dangerous if not respected
  11. You don’t need no stinkin fenders lol But seriously, I never ran em cause they are always already gone, but ive always thought they added a false sense of security but to each their own, i wish i had a picture of the M with 56 series fender I saw a while back, it looked like a toddler with shoulder pads lol
  12. Well I’m corrected now that is actually a pretty nice rig lol
  13. The water from windmills here is fairly salty fyi the tractor came from a hay farm in Arteisa nm, old man who bled green had a barn full of em, from a LA to a 830 diesel he started that hay farm with those old 2 lungers, and his son had since upgraded through 4020s, to 4450s, as he said “that’s the last tractor JD made that’s worth a damn” great auction though,
  14. Someone brought up running straight water a while back, and I finally got some pictures of what happens after a few years and before I hear about it, I gave $600 for it with brand new F&R 15.5-38 firestones, yall would have snagged it too waiting for me to put it back together, it had hairline crack in the water jacket I had to braze It already had water and a crack in it when I bought it, radiator was completely clogged, overheating fast
