mader656 Posted February 7, 2019 Author Posted February 7, 2019 Left dad's today that was really hard. Take a few days to get home. Spending a couple days with wife's family on the way I hope I can stay busy and distracted. Got a class I have to take online about how to be a good engaging and interesting hunters safety instructor, except it's not engaging or entertaining.. Quote

Delta Dirt Posted February 8, 2019 Posted February 8, 2019 You never get to old to learn Mader-------and rest assured that nobody has all of the answers. Have sat through many an hour of real estate and appraisal classes. Some sorta boring alright-------but don't believe I ever attended one that I didn't learn a little something or maybe passed on a bit of my knowledge to someone else. Never was a fan of the on-line courses though. I always felt like I got enough computer time with my work. If I was tired-------I figured the computer probably needed some rest also.? Good luck--------enjoy the computer world during the cold weather. DD Quote
mader656 Posted February 8, 2019 Author Posted February 8, 2019 Honestly it served to distract me from leaving dad's today...i passed. Also made mils place more exciting. 2 1 Quote
Sledgehammer Posted February 9, 2019 Posted February 9, 2019 They aren’t coming to class to be “engaged”. They want that piece of paper at the end. I’ve been an instructor in IL for over 10yrs. Let me know if you have any questions I could help with. Quote

I've helped for two years, our test got a lot harder and kids are younger too...so they have got to pay good attention, We try to make it fun as much as possible. I've got a couple really good instructors I teach with. It's a fun week I think. Quote

Normally have ages 10-70 so it’s hard to hit a happy medium between cartoons and adult programming. Ours is all given in a Friday night/Saturday class with the test at the end. Quote
bitty Posted February 9, 2019 Posted February 9, 2019 I sat in for the test portion for the two oldest this year. I wish I would have just taken the test again with them Quote

Yes my bed that was matched to my body, vs. The osb people have for spare beds. 1 Quote

mader656 Posted February 26, 2019 Author Posted February 26, 2019 I can count on one hand the times it Christmas card snows here in a winter and have mittens on so today...as much as it's a pain it's pretty even if it's -8 Yesterday news had us at 30 degrees colder than Fairbanks AK. Sorry camera is very bad... But it's calm and quiet out. In other news dad's hanging in there im sure they lost trees in the wind. Yesterday managed to twist my ankle slipping off the payloader that wouldn't start and nearly get stuck on the gravel road on the way too town. Gotta go help global warming and burn a pile of old fence post and building material. 1 Quote

Going to be spectacular ice jams this spring, When it all melts rivers are getting bad ice cover a crazy enough person could walk across the yellowstone right now. Quote

Yup fortunately I don't have livestock so throwing more wood on the fire is my first choice. Did tell him to call if needs help. What are neighbors for.... Got charged by his bull when I got out. To shut the gate... Can't run real fast in boots and carharts... All bluff I think. Distracted him with a hay bale so I could get back to my tractor.... He's go up the road if he was mine.. Quote
Wes806 Posted March 1, 2019 Posted March 1, 2019 Stay safe and warm out there Madder. It's got to start warming up some soon. Hopefully it won't melt to fast and cause problems for ya all. Quote
