1566 clutch linkage

Can someone tell me what that small rod is for that connects to the clutch linkage?  The pin was missing when I got it.

Operates the dump valve to release ta clutches for easier shifting.

Too bad you wasn’t about 20 paces back when you took the picture. I’m curious how the rest of the tractor looks now. That mcv area looks nice!

That’s the best I have for now.

I'd bet you that someone has deleted the T/A in that tractor if that pin is missing....
But, if not...yeah, you need to put a pin or bolt in that.

New paint sells...
I'd rather have an untouched tractor. Had a neighbor/scalper that used to put shiny new paint on tractors kinda badly...but it sure sold them.

Don’t be a hater.  I rebuilt this engine Monday night in about an hour.  I feel like I do above average rustoleum rebuilds myself 

It had actually been replaced by a dealer some years ago, they put a light layer of paint on it that didn’t last.

I guess I don’t understand why people assume every tractor that has been repainted had an aerosol overhaul. When I look at a tractor I don’t look at the paint, I look for things that indicate the condition of the tractor. The fact that it has new paint is minus ten points. I prefer them in their work clothes. Apparently the new paint took care of any blow by and oil leaks.  It also makes it start very quickly. Somehow it welded up the worn hole in the drawbar and it even made the pedals so they aren’t worn.  So a pin fell out, now the fully functional TA has been deleted too.  Good grief.

I was agreeing with you.  I like paint, so I have no problem with it.  
I’ve seen bad and worn/junk things hastily  painted over to look good from 100’ and listed  for sale before the overspray dried. although,   If a guy wants to buy that, that’s his business too.

I like the Johnny Cash truck, too.  Just sold a similar one that I’ve had for many years but with no real use - had/has a real sweet DT466 in it, all with less than 60,000.  Those seem to be another example of the strong performance of IHC.

I’ve noticed in the short time that I’ve been a part of this forum community there are a few overly opinionated “experts” that quickly comment on a tangential aspect of the original poster’s question-point for no apparent reason.  I’ve gotten a lot of good help from you folks & some humor from a few know-it-all people.  

Hope everyone enjoys Sedalia.  Chapter 1 goes a great job of hosting.  And for a little distraction both the Bothwell Mansion & Ravenwood Mansion are worth a quick visit.
