Nice! How do you make a spark plug to grease zerk adaptor?

At least that's what a diehard JD guy told me. I think they are right in-between the size/horsepower of a Farmall B or C.

H's barely have enough power to pull themselves around, let alone anything else. And then they have a backwards driven belt pulley too.

I'm no expert, but definitely check out your main clutch parts, rear main seal and PTO spline drive as nate said. Also check your transmission input shaft seal and the transmission bearings. I would check/replace your MCV pump and could reseal the MCV at the same time. While you're in there, it's also the most convenient time to check your clutch brake too since the fluid is drained and replace the pad if needed. Also make sure you install a new O-ring for the pump suction line between the TA and the rear end housings. At the end make sure to adjust the main clutch, trans. dump valve, transmission brake and clutch booster (if your tractor has one) so that they work properly. What tractor is this for?

Yes the later/postwar G's had the 6 speed with more gears.

Not too bad of a paint job and rear steels, I'd say that's a score! On the flip side, I don't think the choke rod, the brazed magneto, or the grease zerk on the side of the clutch housing is original...😆 kind of fun to see the farmer modifications though.

They were also big into generators and other electrical equipment.

To be fair, that carburetor system was not the greatest starter when the fuel pump(s?) went.

Hello Mark! I'm afraid I can't help much but are you talking about the drop box from a Steiger PTA 280? Can you describe more what's happening, when it started leaking in, when you got this tractor, etc. Is the leak a sudden thing or has it been gradual?

Sorry to hear your problem, I know it really stinks. When you say the quote above, is that the sleeve protrusion above the block deck or something else? What is the sleeve protrusion for each cylinder? Were the gaskets installed dry or coated with something? Were the block and head surfaces completely clean before installing? Does your engine have the heavy or light press sleeves? What is your engine serial number? Just trying to throw out some ideas.
