Understood - I'd even settle for a couple pictures and some measurements. From the parts book drawing - it looks like it is just a piece of angle iron with a sleeve welded on each end that accepts a press in bushing. The ID and length of that sleeve would really be helpful.

And that is what I'm running into here as well. I know being a parts guy is not an easy job, especially with the newer, more complicated machines...and of course the local guys are all fairly young and many would rather play on their phones then help customers.

Has anyone ever come across a source for dimensional drawings of obsolite parts? I've been looking for the front bracket of an oscillating axle shield for a late model 1680...part # 1979626C2. I've talked to nearly 20 salvage yards all over the US without success so I am to the point I am probably going to have to fabricate it. This style is an update to the old style I have now, so I don't have anything to work off of for a pattern is why I'm looking for a drawing/blueprint for the part.

I was a Red Wing guy for many, many years but when they went to china made things went downhill in my opinion. I've been buying Danner the last few times. Not the best I've ever had but they have been fairly comfortable and didn't feel like I was walking on a steel grid barefoot 6 months after I bought them like the last few Red Wings have. Just my experience.

There are a number of different purchasing groups that government entities can buy into....sometimes it makes sense and sometimes not. You need to do your research of course, but there are sometimes good opportunities for smaller organizations to save a bunch of money as well as streamline following purchasing rules.

Wife is still using a Iphone 5s - no issues even though Verizon has been screaming for years its not supported. I have a Galaxy that is Android and I'm not impressed. Way too much garbage and constant unnecessary updates that I can't shut off. I miss my Blackberries and would take one of those back in a minute. I just want something that works for business with a physical keyboard and is stable, I have no need for "apps" and the other garbage.

Just a thought.... Is the feederhouse chain (slat direction) in correctly?

Have had a couple of toolcats - If they are operated very carefully and maintained meticulously they are ok. The suspension is a weak point and last I knew there were no aftermarket parts so the frequent strut replacements were spendy. The booms are quite easily sprung - best to keep small buckets on them that aren't any wider than the machine and stay out of situations where one side might catch on something. Electrical issues were also very common - wet environments were very hard on them....lots of corrosion issues resulting in glitchy operation and faults. Hydraulic hoses were a common failure point too The radiator being put under the box is something I never understood either. I found working on them to be a frustrating experience, but no worse than other modern skid loaders. On the positive side - they are a lot easier to get in and out of than a skid loader and are handy....you just have to respect their limitations and treat them carefully.

Does the 88 series have quick disconnects in the lines to the cab like the 86 series did? Used to run into situations like what is described here when there were issues with those things.....went to a SOP of knocking the guts out of them when an 86 came in for AC work as it eliminated some of the high pressure problems.

Just a suggestion - Donaldson makes a huge variety of air intake fittings.....elbows, reducers/jump size adapters, couplers and ect. Their website lists everything with dimensions so it shouldn't be very hard to figure out what is needed to make it work and order it.

Just curious what kind of heating air temp delivery you guys are getting out of your heat pumps?

Last one I got was a pain to source a few years ago, there was something odd about the motor...maybe the length. It's been long enough that I don't remember for sure. Years ago we bought a nearly new IH pickup from an insurance salesmen - in short order we figured out it had been in the Rapid City flood. The control cables and linkages all were stiff, there was also silt in the recesses in the body went you went probing around....so this thing was a ticking time bomb. Somehow, it had escaped being tagged as a flood vehicle on the title....which we found out was a lot more common then you would think. Regardless - at that point in time (the 70's) a flood vehicle had a salvage title and could never be licensed again. I wouldn't touch a flood vehicle personally.....there is just no way they can be 100% cleaned up and not rust, especially in this age of the electronic wonders that have more than enough problems to start with.

Yup....and that is just how a certain group like the general public - dim witted and easily controlled. We've got a lot of young people that actually believe food and housing is a basic entitlement and should be provided free by the government. With thinking like that - is it any wonder why things are how they are? Can't wait to see what that group's children are like.

I don't disagree that counting the cash is extra work.....but it is far more likely the real reason is employee theft. I have some experience with security systems and people handling money. It is absolutely insane how much theft there is at tills. Most places with a point of sale (cash register) have a camera that shoots straight down over the till and records the entire transaction when a sale is rung up and then indexes the video to the individual sale. There are so many different ways of robbing the till it isn't funny and people are incredibly inventive. Personally - I pay cash in restaurants 100% of the time, no sense letting big brother know what I ate and report it to my insurance company so they can raise my rates. Just kidding....maybe! One good thing about the bars taking cards is when a drunk driver kills someone - the authorities can easily track their alcohol purchases back to the place they drank and identify exactly what they bought, when and even what bartender served them. Pretty simple at that point to charge the facility and it's manager/bartender/server with overserving and being an accessory to the crime.

If you are dealing with a bank.....most are not. There are a lot of people "buying bridges" out of ignorance. But again, when the vast majority has been conditioned to live hand to mouth and is one payment away from collapse I suppose its an expected situation.

The biggest elephant in the room on this that no one talks about is with the electronic currency it only takes a couple key strokes and you have no money and are completely dead in the water. I see mostly kids using Apple Pay, Samsung Pay and a bunch of other similar services....and they don't have bank accounts for the most part. The local sports venue will issue employees a "card" that they get paid on if they don't have a bank account.....just like an EBT card. I don't think these people realize the risk.....they are dealing with private companies that could close up or change policies in a blink of an eye. And never mind the crazy fees they pay to use them. Of course.....it also seems most of the people using these services live hand to mouth anyway so they probably figure they don't have anything to lose and the government will provide if they can't buy their next Whopper meal. The tidal wave of handouts during Covid taught them well....

Supposedly greatly increased thyroid cancer rates are related to this "shot"..... I'm not sure with everything else being dumped in what passes for food these days anyone can really point a finger or not.

Watch out for additional charges when using a CC. Restaurants are really bad at this. Around "here" you can usually save 3-5% by paying cash.....and reduce your exposure for fraud as well. Sporting venues are really taking advantage of this...used to be a beer was $8.00 cash, now the posted price may still say $8.00, but all the taxes and fee are on top of that...so that same $8.00 beer is $9.00 - $10.00 when you get your credit card bill.

Yup....I looked at the Jensales site and what they list appears to be a manual for a 340 as you said....and that is not correct. This 4410 (as well as the 4414, 4420 that are the same chassis with just taller masts) appears to be built on a 404 chassis with the C-135 engine. I'm not sure how the "4000" models fit into the picture - they are very similar in appearance and many of the features, but they appear to be just a bit more modern with a high/low transmission unit and gauges/switches on the pedestal with the steering wheel...this 4410 has a "06" style temp gauge/tellilite cluster in the original tractor dash (that is under the seat...lol). I had wanted a rough terrain lift for a long time (mostly to use as an assistance to working on old machinery) so I wasn't interested in spending a fortune on one. I would have like to had a 4500, but I ran across this thing by accident and bought it for a song....the prior owner was not mechanically inclined and it barely ran. After a quick tune up (mostly correcting the mixed up spark plug wires) it runs pretty good. I have no intentions of using it for seed boxes/bags or that type of thing so it will work just fine for my needs running around the yard.

I'm looking for the correct operator, parts and service manuals for a IH 4410 forklift. I picked up a parts and operator's manuals from peaceful creek for a "4000" forklift, they are close but not correct. I can get by, but would really like the correct manuals if possible...even if someone has the part numbers for the manuals it would be helpful. Thanks!
