Timothy562020 Posted November 28, 2025 Posted November 28, 2025 What are the options for a blower motor assembly. One of the fans on mine is coming apart ,the one on the other end is out of balance. A new fan from the electric shop is $130. May need both. I put a new motor in the 5488 couple of weeks ago for $160. The ones I see online look like there are two motors not the double shaft motor like I have. The dual motor are $260 -$350. Are the dual motor the way to go? Any other ideas? Quote

HydroTek Posted November 28, 2025 Posted November 28, 2025 Do a search -- there was a discussion about the current fans recently 1 Quote
acem Posted November 29, 2025 Posted November 29, 2025 I have both kinds. They both work but I'm not sure it's that much better. 2 Quote
IHC_1470 Posted November 29, 2025 Posted November 29, 2025 I tried a dual motor assembly for awile. It is now sitting in a corner of the shop and am back to a dual shaft single motor if that says anything. Quote
Timothy562020 Posted November 29, 2025 Author Posted November 29, 2025 Thanks Acem Looks like Triple R has the wheels for $35 and a dual shaft motor for $90, for me that looks like the way to go. Quote
cobfly Posted November 29, 2025 Posted November 29, 2025 One thing about triple r, he doesn't sell crap. All stuff is as good as OEM or better. 2 Quote
DirtBoyz07 Posted December 1, 2025 Posted December 1, 2025 I have been having troubles with the new blower motors lasting a few hours and fail , China junk , nit sure where to get a good one , maybe the ones Mike is selling at Tripple R are working good 👍 Danny Quote
acem Posted December 1, 2025 Posted December 1, 2025 The high efficiency one I bought has worked well for a couple years now. I've also gotten used blower assemblies from 14x0 and 16x0 combines and cotton pickers. Had good luck with them. Quote
