574 Hydro ?

Were any 54, 64, or 74 series north american offered in a hydro ?

Industrial models were offered in hydro, but not sure about the ag side. Have never seen one before.

I saw an ad that was a 574 hydro, a few years ago but the pictures looked like a gear drive. 2 shift levers on the left side of the seat

I can't remember clearly what that 574 had on the left of the seat for gear shifts but there was at least a high/low range.  The Hydro lever was to the left of the steering wheel in the same place as the TA or shuttle shift in similar models.

The “Z” pattern for 1-4 and h for high, low, reverse

Yes the gear drive, I recall that clearly, I'm unclear about the Hydro, I know it had high and low range on the left

Maybe in USA market, possibly a Canadian anomaly in North America, but besides the 574 Hydro Dad took on trade many years ago, another one came in for service a couple years back.  They do exist, without a doubt.

I just got this from tractordata

This is the one that Dad took on trade.  He sold it to a local trade school.  I found a picture of it searching Kemptville College tractors.  It had a weak hydro that would quit moving once hot.  The college bought it to have an example to train students.  Last I saw it it had a cab.  The previous owner had it and a 684? and a 444, all painted red and black like a CaseIH

I remember you telling about this one in another thread several years ago, but I know I have never heard of one before in the states. Just figured it was from across the pond. So after searching and seeing tractordata, that makes sense now!

We parted out a 574 hydro late last year at work.  I know where the back half is sitting out in the yard.  I removed the hand pump for a customer last fall.

When I started working for an IH dealership in May of 1975 for a while I did not know there was a gear drive option. All the new ones that were sold were hydrostatic transmission. That may have been because most of them were sold with a loader.

The 574 and well as the 454 were both available with a hydro. I have no first hand experience with either but 574s are relatively plentiful here in Ontario. See them often on Marketplace.
