Doc Egor Posted March 25, 2025 Posted March 25, 2025 Supposedly greatly increased thyroid cancer rates are related to this "shot"..... I'm not sure with everything else being dumped in what passes for food these days anyone can really point a finger or not. 1 Quote

How much of this is “prepared” foods? Ready to eat, throw in the microwave and enjoy! All these processed foods are loaded with unhealthy ingredients. Then, portion size is a huge factor. You look at the recommended portion sizes and you’ll laugh at how small they are. Look on the back of any package, whether it’s a bag of chips, or a pancake mix. Until people get back to eating healthy, this is just a panacea to help people feel better about themselves, with the side effects of shedding a few pounds. The minute they stop, they’ll gain it all back, starting the cycle over again. Stomach stapling, cutting out part of the stomach, same effect. When people use food as an endorphin to make themselves feel better, portion sizes increase. I’ve known people who had their stomach stapled, and they looked good for a while, but now, they’re right back where they were. Look at any photo from the 50’s where everyone had home cooked meals, 3x a day, and they weren’t fat. Our food is making us fat, despite the government’s best efforts to make food healthier. I would argue the only thing they’ve done is make food less healthy…. 2 1 Quote
acem Posted March 26, 2025 Posted March 26, 2025 People used to actually do physical work and food was not so plentiful and cheap. Throughout most human history people had to work very hard to survive. Often food was in short supply or very poor quality. We evolved to gain wait in times of plenty so we could survive the bad. But now there are no bad times to survive so we get fatter and fatter. We are also living longer. If you gain 2 lb a year and are killed by a disease or some accident before you reach 40 years old it really don't matter. 1 Quote

He has lost a lot of weight and is close to no longer being diabetic. So, in his case, losing weight can reverse diabetes. I am not diabetic and I cannot get the shot. I have to wait until I have diabetes. How smart is that? A farmer is paying the $1,400/month for the shot as he is diabetic and has a high deductible insurance plan. He lost a lot of weight, is no longer diabetic and the Dr wanted to ween him off the shot. He said no way, I want to lose another 30 pounds. The Dr went, OK. What kind of a screwed up system are we a part of? Quote
